Mold Breaker (Japanese: かたやぶり Mold-Breaking) is an ability introduced in Generation IV. Three Pokémon have this ability.
Effect
In battle
Mold Breaker allows the Pokémon's moves to strike through any opposing abilities; e.g. Template:Type2 moves will hit a Pokémon with Flash Fire. Likewise, Pokémon with Water Absorb or Wonder Guard will have their abilities disabled and will be damaged by Water or non-super effective moves, respectively. The Levitate ability is also lifted, enabling Template:Type2 moves to hit those Pokémon. However, this does not enable Template:Type2 Pokémon to be hit by Template:Type2 moves or Template:Type2 Pokémon to be hit by Template:Type2 moves (and vice versa).
When a Pokémon with Mold Breaker is brought out, the message "<name> has Mold Breaker!" will be displayed.
Outside of battle
Mold Breaker has no effect outside of battle.
