Richard (Pokémon Adventures)

In Japanese, Wallace's Sealeo is named リチャード (Richard). In the Chuang Yi translations, it keeps the name Richard. Where is the word Francoise? May I remove it? |) u |( e ® 20:57, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

There was something about his Pokemon nicknames being different between the magazine and tankobon version in Japanese. But I don't recall everything. --Maxim 21:03, 6 February 2012 (UTC)
The tankobon and the official site have it's name as Richard, so I'll change it. Thank you, Maxim. |) u |( e ® 21:16, 6 February 2012 (UTC)

Trivia

"While Wallace's hair, cape and top half of his clothing are colored teal in his official Sugimori artwork, Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 sprites, and the anime, they are colored blue in his Generation III game sprites and the manga." Is this trivia, or any kind of trivia like this, really needed? The sprites aren't going to have the exact same coloration as the artwork. I've looked at a lot of Hoenn characters who wear blue(Winona)/have bluish hair ( Steven, Brawly) and it seems that the blue thay wear is a bit more teal-ish in their Generation V sprites. I've noticed it, but I just don't think it's mentionable.uNsUsPeCtInG fOoL (talk) 23:26, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

I think it's pretty unnotable, especially since sprites tend to vary from game to game. That's the reason we tend to avoid sprite trivia. I'm all for removing this trivia. --Pokemaster97 23:32, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

quotes

we havent got the quotes after the master rank contest with him and lisia (thegrassmaster)Thegrassmaster (talk) 10:43, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

I've the go the quotes, just not entirely sure how to put them in. I can try adding them to the quotes section, just not sure if I should make a new category after Delta Episode, seeing as this is supposed to take place after that. DragonLordZero (talk) 02:02, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
Actually, adding this in is a lot more complicated than I thought. Help? DragonLordZero (talk) 02:23, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
If it's a concern, just add it on here and I'll help transfer it over to the main page. ht14 02:38, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
Thank you! Here goes nothing...
Lisia: "Yaaay!"
"Finally, we all got to appear together!"
"<player>! Let me introduce you! This is my uncle, Wallace."
"Uncle Wallace, this is the girl/boy I was telling you about!"
Wallace: "No inductions necessary, Lisia."
"I would say that <player> and I… know each other quite well already."
Lisia: "Huh? You do?"
"Oh! I get it! You ARE a Gym Leader after all, Uncle Wallace."
"So you guys battled before?"
Wallace: "S/He defeated me when we battled."
"And if that were not enough, s/he is a great Trainer who carried out splendid deeds for Hoenn."
"That is who <player> is."
"You appear to be well."
"Lisia has been so enraptured by the contest spectacles that I felt compelled to see them for myself."
"It has been many years since I last took part in the likes of a contest…"
"And here I find you once more."
"It is not only in my own Gym that you have defeated me, but you have bested me in contests as well."
"It seems I still have much to learn…"
Lisia: "Never mind, Uncle Wall!"
"We had fun and that’s what matters!"
Wallace: "I suppose you’re right."
"<player>, I’m sure you’ve grown to understand this already."
"No matter whether you stand in a Pokemon Gym or a Contest Hall, a Trainer who holds to her/his belief in the Pokemon beside her/him…"
"The Pokemon that battles on, believing in the Trainer with whom it stands together…"
"The settings may differ, but their labors come to fruition in a way that honors their bond! There is equal beauty in both!"
Lisia: "That’s a lovely thought, Uncle Wall."
"Really wonderful!"
Wallace: "Yes…"
"And confoundingly elegant!"
Lisia: "And so very, very…"
Lisia & Wallace (together): "…Glorious!"
Wallace: "You two have shown yourselves to be fine Trainers, with bright futures ahead of you."
---
Lissia, if spoken to after:
"Sup?"
Tell me about Wallace.
"Oh, yeah, you battled Uncle Wall, right?"
"Is he really as strong as they say?"
"All his friends seem to be super-strong Trainers, too."
"Like that one guy obsessed with stones, or that Trainer that looks like a star…"
"Hmm. And you still beat him. I guess that means that… You really are amazing, <player>!"
So about these contests…
"Yeah, it was because I saw my uncle doing contests that I decided to try, too."
"He’s my mentor. He taught me all about competing in contests!"
"And Uncle Wall has a mentor of his own, named Jaun…"
"I wonder if someone will ever look up to me as a mentor. Who knows?"
After exhausting both options: "Today’s contest sure was fun!"
Wallace, if spoken to after:
"What is it?"
Tell me about Lisia.
"Lisia is the daughter of my elder sister and does not live in Sootopolis any longer."
"She was tucked safely away during that infamous incident, so she would probably be quite shocked to learn your part in it."
So you did contests?
"Yes, I once tried my hand at contests."
"But Lisia has a natural talent for them that greatly surpasses mine."
"She became an idol almost overnight."
"As a result, I was able to apply myself fully to my role as Gym Leader."
"After this, I almost feel as though I should give contests another try."
"Or perhaps I should steal the title of Pokemon League Champion from you. That could be quite amusing…"
After exhausting both options: "I imagine Steven must be gnashing his teeth over missing today’s Contest Spectacular."
DragonLordZero (talk) 02:53, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
Oh wow, that's a lot haha. ht14 02:57, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
How exactly does this trigger? ht14 02:58, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
After you've already obtained the Lucarionite, if you enter a Master Beauty Contest, Wallace and Lisia will participate.
You get this version of the conversation after you win. I'm not sure if it takes place after the Delta Episode, but Wallace's mention of stealing the Champion title from the player would suggest this.
There is a variant for when you lose, but I can't find it online. Sorry.DragonLordZero (talk) 03:07, 12 February 2015 (UTC)
In any case, thanks for the help! ht14 03:46, 12 February 2015 (UTC)

"Only Gym Leader to have only appeared in the anime outside of his home region."

This line in the trivia is no longer true; Bea has made two appearances in the anime, neither of which has been in Galar. I dunno if we'd wanna say that he *was* the only gym leader to hold this distinction up til Pokemon Journeys, but for now I'll remove the line entirely. --TheMaskedMeowth (talk) 19:21, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Wallace's Milotic

I've created this page User:Rahl/Wallace's Milotic for Wallace's Milotic, with ForceFire saying it can be created if others agree it should exist. Does anyone else think it should have its own article? Rahl (talk) 10:47, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

That looks like enough for an article. It definitely fits the notability requirements.--Reinhartmax (talk) 11:23, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
I think this looks good enough for an article, it fits the requirements for gym leaders mons.Animaltamer7 (talk) 11:45, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
For me, both Milotic and Charizard are notable. It is as surreal as the Pokémon of Sophocles' rival (which must not have appeared even in two episodes) to be notable and Leon's Charizard with so much information on the page that this reluctance exists. Milotic I think it's fair to have a page precisely because we have a pattern with the Pokémon of the franchise's Champions. I don't know if this Pokémon appeared in any of the Pokémon manga, but it would be nice to have this content on the page as well. --Hikaru Wazana (talk) 15:00, 12 May 2022 (UTC)
No manga appearance as far as I could tell. Please bring up your points to ForceFire about Charizard. Maybe having multiple opinions will help change his mind. Rahl (talk) 15:20, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

I'll reiterate what I said about Milotic on my talk page. I'm not too sure if its role in the Wallace Cup (opening and judging) would be considered having an impact on the plot. Appearing more than a few times doesn't mean anything if it didn't do anything of note. It could appear in another 100 episodes, but it won't be notable if it still didn't do anything of note (non-battle stuff that is).--ForceFire 15:32, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

It impacted the plot by acting as inspiration for Dawn and helping her regain her confidence in Contests. I think that had long-reaching consequences. Rahl (talk) 15:37, 12 May 2022 (UTC)

Team Order in Ruby-Sapphire

Is the order of this template correct? I played the game, and I got Luvdisc-Whiscash-Sealeo-Seaking-Milotic. Can anyone check? --Marcodpat (talk) 15:17, 28 February 2024 (UTC)
