Trivia
- Professor Oak's Pokémon Live Caster: Cubchoo
- Music from Arceus and the Jewel of Life and Zoroark: Master of Illusions is used in this episode.
- The group running down a hallway while being chased by a boulder is a reference to the first Indiana Jones movie, Raiders of the Lost Ark. The statue of Venipede replaces the Fertility Idol. This is also the second time this has been done during the series, the first being Battling the Enemy Within!.
- Due to the use of flashbacks, every Pokémon belonging to the three main protagonists that have appeared during the Best Wishes series made an appearance in this episode, except for Ash's Palpitoad.
- Although the move has existed since Generation I, this episode marks the first time that Mirror Move is used in the anime.
- Boldore's incorrectly red spine in the song Seven-colored Arch is corrected as of this episode.
