In the anime

  • Mr. Sukizo, who is a Pokémon Contest judge, resembles a male PokéFan and is in fact president of the Pokémon Fan Club.
  • Lola, Brock's mother, has a resemblance to the female PokéFan.

In the Pokémon Special manga

In Danger: High Voltorb a group of PokéFans congregate in the Pokémon Fan Club headquarters to talk about their favorite Pokémon and to read their own magazine.

Trivia

  • In all of the games, the species of the dolls accompanying the female PokéFan sprite is shown with has changed, but the male PokéFan sprite has always been shown with Pikachu or Pichu, both on his t-shirt and the costumed child.
  • Because the female PokéFan sprite remains the same between Diamond, Pearl, and Platinum and HeartGold and SoulSilver, they are shown to have Bonsly dolls in a region where Sudowoodo appears only once (and is apparently not well-known) and where Bonsly does not appear in the regional Pokédex.
