Gorilla Tactics (Japanese: ごりむちゅう Obsessed Gorilla) is an Ability introduced in Generation VIII. It is one of the signature Abilities of Galarian Darmanitan.
Effect
In battle
Gorilla Tactics boosts the Pokémon's Attack by 50%, but limits the Pokémon to using only one move, similar to the Choice Band. This effect stacks with Choice items, meaning a Pokémon with this Ability and a Choice Band will have its Attack boosted to 225%.
Gorilla Tactics temporarily stops working if the user is Dynamaxed.
Outside of battle
Gorilla Tactics has no effect outside of battle.

Trivia
- The English name is a play on gorilla and "guerilla tactics".

- Similarly, the Chinese name of this Ability is a pun, replacing the 心 (heart) in 一心一意 (wholeheartedly) with 猩 (gorilla).
- The Spanish name of this Ability literally translates to mono-theme, possibly reflecting the Ability's effect on locking in a move.
