The Colorless type is one of the ten TCG types. It is represented by the color white.
The Colorless type contains all Normal- and Flying-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Rattata and Tornadus are all Colorless types in the TCG.
Prior to the Dragon Selection set, the Colorless type also contained all Dragon-type Pokémon found in the main series video games. For example, Rayquaza and Dragonite were Colorless types in the TCG. However, Dragon-type Pokémon are now Dragon-type cards.
Colorless can be seen as the "neutral" type, as attacks with an Energy card cost listed with Colorless Energy may use any of the other eight types of Energy to count for that Colorless. Due to this, unlike the other eight, there is no Basic Energy card associated with Colorless—all cards providing only Colorless Energy are Special Energy cards. In addition, retreating always discards Colorless Energy if any.
