Take a few steps east you'll see Gardenia looking at the Old Chateau. She greets you and asks if you've heard the rumors about ghost Pokémon living in the mansion. She says that she's too busy to explore it— she's not scared, just too busy to go in. ...or is she? It's rumored that this place is haunted. It was abandoned by its owner long ago. Walk north and go into the room in front of you if you wish. The ghost of an old man floats past as you walk in! This room is the mansion's dining hall. Pick up the hidden Antidote out of one of the trash cans, and exit this room. Next, climb up the stairs.
The westernmost room has an Old Gateau inside. There's nothing in the easternmost room. Head through the central doorway and into a hallway.
One of the rooms accessible in this hallway has a shadowy portrait hanging on the wall. If you walk around or turn your back, glowing, red eyes appear in the painting and stare at you! When you first enter this room, the ghost of a little girl appears in the room next to you. In the easternmost room, you can find 90. In the westernmost room, there is a Dread Plate.

Eterna City

Fly to Eterna City. Head to the house in the southwest corner of the city, near the gate to Route 206 and Eterna Gym. You'll find Professor Oak inside and he'll check how many Pokemon you have caught.

Make sure you bring a Pokémon with Cut and at least 30 Dusk Balls before proceeding! You must be playing at night or in the early morning (8:00PM-3:59AM, between 20:00 and 3:59 on your DS clock) in order to encounter a Legendary Pokemon.

Route 205

Head west along the bridges on Route 205, into Eterna Forest.

Reason: Rotom's moveset

Make sure that you save your game and check if you have at least 20 Dusk Balls before proceeding!

When you're ready, walk up to the TV and press A to initiate a battle with Rotom.

Rotom is a Electric/Ghost-type Legendary Pokemon, at Level 15 (unbelievable for a Legendary Pokemon). Its stats aren't the best, but it can be bred with Ditto in order to obtain an egg. Its Special Attack and Speed are pretty good, its Defense and Special Defense are OK, and its HP and Attack aren't very good.

Use a Ghost- or Dark-type move to lower Rotom's HP (don't try this if your Pokemon is strong), and then weaken it further, if necessary, with moves that aren't of the Dark, Ghost, Normal (False Swipe won't work), Fighting, or Ground type. When Rotom's HP bar is in the red zone, keep throwing Dusk Balls until you catch it.

If you accidentally knock Rotom out, just soft reset to make it reappear.
