This is the Bulbapedia walkthrough for Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
These pages follow the original Nintendo DS iteration, not Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The guide for those games can be found here.

Route 228

Route 228

Route 228 links Route 227 in the northwest to Route 229 in the south. The rugged terrain is constantly raked by a brutal sandstorm driven by strong winds from the sea. The numerous muddy slopes and log bridges require the use of a Bicycle to reach every area.

Move Tutor's house

The northern of the two houses here belongs to an elderly man. He is a Move Tutor who is able to teach the three "ultimate moves"—Frenzy Plant, Blast Burn, and Hydro Cannon—to compatible Pokémon. These are powerful attacks, but may only be taught to fully evolved first partner Pokémon that have a strong friendship with their Trainer. Each Pokémon may only learn the move that matches their primary type. A list of compatible Pokémon is displayed on the wall.

Resort Area

Resort Area

The Resort Area is a small town to the south of Route 229. The area attracts Trainers who know that there are other ways to enjoy Pokémon than just battling.

Located in the northeast part of the Resort Area, the Ribbon Syndicate is a large mansion with a giant Ribbon over the doorway. It is only open to skilled Coordinators, as visitors must have at least 10 different kinds of Ribbons distributed among their party to enter. Exclusive Ribbons may be purchased from the service desk on the first floor. These Ribbons are incredibly expensive, and act more as signs of status than merit.

Item Price
Gorgeous Ribbon $10,000
Royal Ribbon $100,000
Gorgeous Royal Ribbon $999,999

Coordinators may also make use of the spa on the top floor. A massage at this spa, complete diamonds and pearls as ingredients, makes a Pokémon friendlier towars its Trainer. Unlike other Pokémon groomers, the attendants here will also treat an Egg; this increases the initail friendship level of the Pokémon that hatches from it. This service is available once per day.

Route 230

Route 230

Route 230 is an ocean route that links Route 229 in the east back to the Fight Area in the west. A large island rich with plant life is located in the bay.
