*Due to an oversight, TM223 is difficult to craft in Scarlet because Shieldon Claws are dropped by Shieldon and Bastiodon, which are exclusive to Violet. In normal gameplay, this could be circumvented by trading a member of the Shieldon evolutionary line to Pokémon Scarlet, having a wild Ditto transform into it, and then defeat or capture it.
*This is the only TM in Scarlet and Violet that had its TM Machine recipe changed.
**A Mystery Gift event distributing 10 copies of TM223 to players of both Scarlet and Violet was launched to address this oversight. The error will be fixed in Version 3.0.1.
**Prior to the release of Version 3.0.1, the recipe also required 2 Shieldon Claws. This change was made to accommodate players of Scarlet because Shieldon Claws are dropped by Shieldon and Bastiodon, which are exclusive to Violet.
