Nessa is the First Female Water Type Gym Leader since Misty!

Yes, Misty is the first, but you get what I mean from all the Male Water Type Gym Leaders we have had in the past. Cynthia149 (talk) 18:15, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

But does it really matter if she isn't the first of them all, but just first after some time, however long? Kikugi (talk) 21:37, 11 June 2019 (UTC)

Russian name

Her Russian name is Несса Nessa. --Raltseye prata med mej

Nessa's name...

seems, to me, be based of the Loch Ness monster, or Nessie. The Loch Ness monster is a lake monster, correlating to water. Considering the Galar region is speculated to be based off the United Kingdom/Scotland area, I think, and it might be wrong completely, that her name is based off Nessie. Goldeen

She also has a Goldeen.--ShallowShaddoll (talk) 15:37, 12 June 2019 (UTC)

Yeah, you might want to add that. Salamence1993 (talk) 18:24, 15 June 2019 (UTC)

Pokémon

Surprised admins haven't done this yet considering we already have info on the Pokémon. Regardless, here's the template if someone who has access wants to add it. It only has info from the demo, which may be inaccurate.

Nessa's Chewtle

Why was that Pokémon's information removed from Nessa's Pokémon section in the anime?Hikaru Wazana (talk) 14:24, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
Checking the history, Ataro posted in his edit summary that nothing implied that it was hers or that it evolved into her Drednaw.Animaltamer7 (talk) 15:02, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
It doesn't make a lot of sense. I think the scene serves to show a little of Nessa's backstory.Hikaru Wazana (talk) 15:27, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
As a model, it should be expected for Nessa to pose with stuff like people or animals. And we clearly saw her doing exactly that with a Qwilfish. Anything's possible, but nothing was confirmed. Ataro (talk) 20:58, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
I will have to agree that we need verbal confirmation for stuff like this. Just because it shows a little of Nessa's backstory doesn't mean it automatically implies the Pokémon seen with her are hers. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 22:10, 15 August 2020 (UTC)
