Information

Mega Evolution is the first main expansion of cards for the Mega Evolution Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It reintroduces Mega Evolution into the game as Mega Evolution Pokémon ex cards, each of which is worth 3 Prize cards on defeat and features the typical stage and Evolution of its depicted Pokémon. This variant of Pokémon ex uses a black-and-yellow symbol.

Most of the cards in this set are expected to come from the Japanese Mega Brave and Mega Symphonia expansion. Starting with this expansion, Item, Pokémon Tool, and Stadium cards cards can appear as full-art ultra rare cards; the first of these to be revealed were Rare Candy and Night Stretcher.

Mega Evolution will feature more than 180 cards in total, including 10 Mega Evolution Pokémon ex, more than 15 Trainer cards, 22 illustration rare Pokémon cards, 22 ultra rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and Trainer cards, and 10 special illustration rare Mega Evolution Pokémon ex and Supporter cards.
