Alternate World Team Rocket (Japanese: 平行世界のロケット団 Alternate World Rocket-dan) are recurring characters who first appeared in The Gates of Warp!. They are the Alternate World counterparts of Team Rocket.
They briefly appeared between worlds when Dialga and Palkia were fighting, opening portals to other worlds. They appeared in the main world after an attempt by Team Rocket to capture Pikachu sent them blasting off. Using nets fired by Wobbuffet, they were able to capture Lucario and Inteleon and brought them through the portal which caused Dawn and Goh to follow. They reappeared in the main world where they attempted to capture Pikachu and Cynthia's Garchomp, but were stopped when Cynthia sent out her Kommo-o. They retreated through the portal, only to be followed by Ash and Chloe.
They reappeared in Showdown at the Gates of Warp!, along with alternative world counterparts of the Team Rocket Grunts from the Matori Matrix. They used the Red Chain to hold Dialga and Palkia in combat causing distortions that resulted in Pokémon devolving back into Eggs. They revealed that they're planning on using Dialga and Palkia's time-space powers to devolve every Pokémon so they can recreate them as a very powerful army big enough to take over worlds. They and their Pokémon wore armor that prevented them from deaging. However, their arrogance and overconfidence in misusing Dialga's temporal powers, Palkia's spatial powers, and the Red Chain proved to be their undoing as it destroyed their armor, devolved their own Pokémon into Eggs (with the exception of Meowth and Wobbuffet) and blasted them and their grunts off through one of the portals.
