Howdy. I'm Philippe Van Lieu, aka Nick15. I'm something of an old tymer here with Bulbapedia as well as Bulbagarden... so pay your respects you young whippersnapper! And don't you forget it! ... I only just wish people remembered it to be able to forget it. :(
==Quick History==
* Started playing the Pokémon TCG upon release after starting Magic
* Played the TCG until EX:FRLG
* Returned to the TCG with the release of Black/White
* Love of TCG encouraged the creation of my website, ''Pokémon Aaah!'', in 1999
* Worked on PA! until 2004, includes a period when PA! was hosted on Bulbapedia in early-2002
* When PA! ended, a lot of its TCG information formed the basis of Bulbapedia's TCG articles
* Returned to regular PA! updates in late-2019
* Played the Pokémon video game, starting with a Japanese Yellow ROM, then to own my own copy of Yellow upon release
* Played the Japanese Gold ROM and helped hype up the info with Meowth346 at [[Pokémon Forever]]
* Continued playing every game from every Gen, with varying degrees of hype (peaking at Gen 5, dipping at Gen 6, then peaking again with Gen 8)
* Can't stop, won't stop!

But seriously, I've been a name within the online Pokemon community at large for a good ten years now. Lesse...
==Goals at Bulbapedia==
* I used to run my own Pokémon site, ''[[Pokémon Aaah!]]'' for five years between April 10th, 1999 and May 10th, 2004.
* Maintaining accurate information about [[Pokémon in South Korea]]
* I played the [[Pokémon TCG]] from ''{{TCG|Base Set}}'' and ending with ''{{TCG|EX FireRed & LeafGreen}}''.
:* Current main goal: replacing TCPI-coined romanized name with RR versions, unless actual examples of romanized names on Korean products exist
* I've been a part of the Pojo, UPN, the PokeGym (Psylum, WizPoG AND its current incarnation), PokeMasters, Pokemon Abode AND Bulbagarden since just about the beginning of those sites.
::* NOTE: the TCPI-coined romanizarions of Korean names were done without the help or association with Pokémon Korea, Inc, and therefore have romanized names which don't make sense (like "Fairit" for Charmander, even though there is no "t"-like sound in its Korean name).
* One version of my site was temporarily hosted at Bulbagarden back in 2001, by personal invite by [[Anenga]], at ''http://pa.bulbagarden.com/''
::* Examples of Romanized Korean names do exist, such as the ones used on products at the [https://m.blog.naver.com/PostView.nhn?blogId=rnalay&logNo=221005743454 2017 Pokémon World Festival] event.
* I laid the foundation for a good portion of the TCG articles at Bulbapedia, as well as contributed a lot of info to those articles. A lot of the images about those early TCG sets (like set logos and icons) were images I scanned for my own site but later used here. Heck, you might consider me the Meowth346 of the TCG. ''(Or maybe Meowth346 is the Nick15 of the video games? :P)''
::* Romanized names appear more on modern products, less so on older products. Romanization is still generally rare, definitely relative to its use on Japanese products, so many Korean Pokémon names have yet to actually use romanizations.
* I'm also the first major Pokémon TCG graphical fake card maker (at least the first to popularize the concept), developing the first system of instructions and blanks that has evolved into what you know of today. Every other graphical fake card maker can pretty much trace the the lineage of influences back to me. Not to toot my own horn or anything. :)
::* Of the modern products that do employ romanized names, they tend to be on popular Pokémon, like Pikachu, the Kanto starters, Eevee and the Eeveelutions, Ditto, etc.
:* Adding any remaining information about Korean Pokémon name etymology
:* Add Korean TCG set icons wherever possible (they are similar to, but not exactly the same as, the Japanese set icons)

I still love Pokémon, but not enough to dedicate my time and life to it like I used to back in the day. I still desire to leave *A* mark upon the Pokémon community at large, so I try my best to keep Bulbapedia up-to-date. Thus, I'm here.
* Maintaining [[Pokémon TCG]] articles, namely those during the Wizards of the Coast-era
:* scans of events and items which don't yet appear
:* articles for WOTC-era [[World Championships|events]]
::* Super Trainer Showdowns - 2000 West, 2000 East, 2001 East, 2001 West
::* Worlds - 2002 West Coast Qualifiers (San Diego), 2002 East Coast Qualifiers, 2002 Seattle, 2003 Indianapolis (GenCon)
:*

Eventually I'm gonna trick out this profile, like how people have their team info, awards and other junk on their pages. :D
*

The other moral of this story is: Don't treat me like a noob, or else it'll come back to bite you in the ass soon.

=Old Bits=

'''Nick15''', otherwise known as '''Philippe Van Lieu''', is a mere footnote in the history of the online Pokémon community. Mostly known for his [[Pokémon Aaah!]] website, which was the first website that featured fan made fake [[Pokémon TCG]] cards.
{{User:Nick15/Blah}}

Is currently a Senior at San Francisco State University. Is also a short filmmaker and comic artist, producing work through P-Tip Productions, his fledgling production company. In 2004, after ending regular updates on FakeCard.com, he started focusing on his comic work and has since been working on his webcomic series, ''Moose River''.

Has no clue why he's even posting at Bulbapedia.

Hello. My name is Nick15 and I've been a part of Bulbapedia since the beginning. I used to run the website Pokémon Aaah!... I mean, I still run it, but I also used to run it as well.

Quick History

 • Started playing the Pokémon TCG upon release after starting Magic
 • Played the TCG until EX:FRLG
 • Returned to the TCG with the release of Black/White
 • Love of TCG encouraged the creation of my website, Pokémon Aaah!, in 1999
 • Worked on PA! until 2004, includes a period when PA! was hosted on Bulbapedia in early-2002
 • When PA! ended, a lot of its TCG information formed the basis of Bulbapedia's TCG articles
 • Returned to regular PA! updates in late-2019
 • Played the Pokémon video game, starting with a Japanese Yellow ROM, then to own my own copy of Yellow upon release
 • Played the Japanese Gold ROM and helped hype up the info with Meowth346 at Pokémon Forever
 • Continued playing every game from every Gen, with varying degrees of hype (peaking at Gen 5, dipping at Gen 6, then peaking again with Gen 8)
 • Can't stop, won't stop!

Goals at Bulbapedia

 • Current main goal: replacing TCPI-coined romanized name with RR versions, unless actual examples of romanized names on Korean products exist
 • NOTE: the TCPI-coined romanizarions of Korean names were done without the help or association with Pokémon Korea, Inc, and therefore have romanized names which don't make sense (like "Fairit" for Charmander, even though there is no "t"-like sound in its Korean name).
 • Examples of Romanized Korean names do exist, such as the ones used on products at the 2017 Pokémon World Festival event.
 • Romanized names appear more on modern products, less so on older products. Romanization is still generally rare, definitely relative to its use on Japanese products, so many Korean Pokémon names have yet to actually use romanizations.
 • Of the modern products that do employ romanized names, they tend to be on popular Pokémon, like Pikachu, the Kanto starters, Eevee and the Eeveelutions, Ditto, etc.
 • Adding any remaining information about Korean Pokémon name etymology
 • Add Korean TCG set icons wherever possible (they are similar to, but not exactly the same as, the Japanese set icons)
 • Maintaining Pokémon TCG articles, namely those during the Wizards of the Coast-era
 • scans of events and items which don't yet appear
