Leona's parents are characters of the day who appeared in Hot Springing a Leak!. They run a Sinnoh hot spring hotel along with their daughter Leona, a close friend of Dawn's.
In Hot Springing a Leak!, they had their hot spring water stolen by someone. After tracing their pipe they discovered a new connection was attacked to their supply and used their Wooper with a tracking beacon to find out the culprits. When Ash, his friends and Leona arrived on the scene they discovered this same Wooper and Leona's parents. Wooper was seen for a brief time when Leona's parents sent it down the pile lines of the hot spring, because they noticed that another pipe was draining the water. As Ash picked it up Leona's parents appear explaining that since the Wooper showed up there then Team Rocket was stealing their water.
