Release information
This card was first printed in the Japanese-exclusive Intro Pack with artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi. This print was released in the game Pokémon Card GB2: Here Comes Team GR! as part of the Team Rocket's Ambition pack. The card received its general release in Neo Genesis. It was subsequently reprinted in the Pokémon VS, Expedition Base Set, EX FireRed & LeafGreen and EX Delta Species expansions. It was also reprinted in the unofficial English Tyranitar Half Deck for the 2001 Tropical Mega Battle. Later, it was released in the Diamond & Pearl and Majestic Dawn expansions with different artwork by Shizurow.
Super Scoop Up was later reclassified in Japan as an Item card during the HeartGold & SoulSilver Series, though the English prints did not adopt this naming convention until the release of Black & White. Unleashed featured new artwork by Noriko Hotta. This card was released again in the Black & White expansion with new artwork by Daisuke Iwamoto, first released in the Japanese Beginning Set. It was later printed again in Beginning Set + and Beginning Set Pikachu Version rereleases of the original Black & White Beginning Set.
Super Scoop Up was again reprinted with new artwork by 5ban Graphics in the Furious Fists expansion, first originating as one of several Japanese XY-P Promotional cards that became available in a number of different card boxes. These included the Xerneas & Yveltal Card Box, released on December 13, 2013, the Primal Groudon & Primal Kyogre Card Box, released on December 13, 2014, and the Mega Mewtwo X & Mega Mewtwo Y Card Box, released on September 26, 2015.
Super Scoop Up was reprinted as both a Regular card and a Full Art Secret card in the Burning Shadows expansion, previously released in the Japanese Darkness that Consumes Light expansion. Both prints feature artwork by Toyste Beach. The Regular print was later included in the English Shining Legends expansion and the Japanese Shining Legends subset. The Regular print was later reprinted as a Mirror Holofoil in the Japanese Ultra Force subset. It was reprinted in the Japanese Champion Road subset with the artwork by Keiji Kinebuchi originally printed in the Neo Genesis expansion.
