Magneton was used by Black Clembot to battle Clemont's Clembot and their Heliolisk. It put up a good fight against Heliolisk, who also fought well. It almost defeated Heliolisk with Tackle until Heliolisk used Parabolic Charge. Their battle was interrupted by Team Rocket, who captured both Clembot and Black Clembot. After Blaziken Mask defeated Team Rocket with Mega Blaziken, Belmondo recalled Magneton and sent out Magnezone instead.
