Yellow (Japanese: イエロー Yellow), or Amarillo del Bosque Verde (Japanese: イエロー・デ・トキワグローブ Yellow de Tokiwa Grove) is the fourth main character of the manga series Pokémon Adventures. She first appeared in volume three, when she was saved by Red from a rampaging wild Dratini.
When Red goes missing, Blue sends Yellow out to find him, and has her disguise herself as a boy. Most of the characters did not learn her real gender until the end of the G/S/C saga. Yellow's straw hat hides her ponytail as well as containing the Rainbow Wing and Silver Wing.
Yellow's first Pokémon is a Rattata that Red helped her catch. Her starter Pokémon is Red's Pikachu which travels with her when she searches for Red. She later obtained her own Pikachu, Chuchu, which made a Pichu egg with Red's Pikachu at the Johto Pokémon daycare.
Yellow's special skill, as described by Professor Oak, is Pokémon healing and is called the "Healer" (癒やす者 Healer). She received psychic abilities from the Viridian Forest, which include the ability to read the emotions of Pokémon and heal their wounds. Yellow is physically small and can still pass for a boy even at 14, something that is a running gag within the manga.

Character history
Red, Green & Blue chapter
Yellow makes her first, unnamed appearance in Drat That Dratini, towards the end of the first chapter, when Red saves her from a rampaging Dratini. Red then helps Yellow catch her first Pokémon, a Rattata, and leaves a strong impression on her with his words about raising Pokémon with a kind and gentle heart and his actions to save Viridian Forest from the menace of Team Rocket.
Yellow chapter
One year later, when Red mysteriously goes missing after receiving a battle invitation from Bruno of the Elite Four, Yellow just as mysteriously shows up in Professor Oak's lab, disguised as a boy. She takes Red's Pikachu, Pika, and promises to find Red. It is later revealed that it was in fact Green who sent Yellow on this quest and disguised her as a boy.
Yellow forms an alliance with the good Gym Leaders of Kanto, and received a Graveler and an Omanyte from Brock and Misty, respectively. She then goes into intensive training under Blue, who has a rivalry with one of the Elite Four himself.
In the final battle on Cerise Island, Sabrina's Spoons of Destiny choose Blaine as Yellow's partner. The two of them find themselves facing Lance in a fierce and long battle, from which Yellow eventually emerges victorious. After it all ends, she returns Pika to Red, who is left the only main character unaware of Yellow's real gender.
Gold, Silver & Crystal chapter
Red gives Pika to Yellow again when he leaves for Mt. Silver. Yellow also has a Pikachu of her own now, Chuchu, and she takes both of them with her when her uncle shows up and suggests she joins him to Johto. In Johto, Yellow meets Crystal, and later ends up staying in the Pokémon Day Care center in Goldenrod City with the Day Care couple, where Pika and Chuchu produce an egg.
When the final battle with the Mask of Ice commences, it is revealed the the two feathers that Green once stole from him are hidden in Yellow's straw hat. When her hat is removed to get the feathers, everyone, including Red, learns that Yellow is in fact a girl.
FireRed & LeafGreen chapter
In the fifth chapter, Yellow meets up with Silver in Viridian City. Silver is looking for his birth parents, and Yellow helps him by reading his Sneasel's mind. At the end of the chapter, Yellow and some of the other Pokédex holders are turned into statues by Sird.
Emerald chapter
During the final battle against Guile Hideout in the Battle Frontier, Emerald wishes Jirachi to save the petrified Pokédex holders, and Yellow and the rest are finally set free. They then all help defeat the villain.

Abilities
Being born with special abilities, Yellow has demonstrated several as of the Fifth chapter. Her abilities demonstrated include:
- Limited telekinesis, enough to manipulate a Poké Ball on a string.
- The ability to read the minds, emotions, and memories of Pokémon.
- Healing abilities, thus far only used on Pokémon.
- Able to "synch spirits" with her Pokémon to boost their levels into the mid 80's in times of need.
Trivia
- Yellow and Emerald are the only Pokémon Adventures characters not directly based on game characters. They also are named after the third version of the first two odd-numbered generations. Pokémon Yellow is, however, the fourth game of Generation I in Japan, with Pokémon Blue being the third.
- Most of Yellow's Pokémon have received a drawback in level, since in the second chapter, all her Pokémon were around level forty, while at the end of the GSC saga, their levels are as above.
