Sludge (Japanese: ヘドロこうげき Sludge Stream) is a damage-dealing Poison-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect

Generation I

Sludge does damage and has a 29.7% chance of poisoning the target. Sludge cannot poison a target that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.

Generation II and on

Same as Generation I, though with a 30% chance of poisoning non-Steel-types instead.
