VS. Kyogre & Groudon VIII (Japanese: VS. カイオーガ & グラードン VIII VS. Kyogre & Groudon VIII) is the 244th round of the Pokémon Adventures manga in the Ruby & Sapphire chapter.
Synopsis
Out at sea, Amber wakes with a start on the floating wreckage of the Kaien 1 submarine, Archie's sarcastic final words to him ("Thanks for all your hard work, Amber") vivid in his memory. He struggles with the realization that Archie betrayed him, and shakily decides it's impossible, it must be a misunderstanding. Vowing to continue supporting the team and their cause of expanding the ocean, he summons his Pelipper and takes off.
Meanwhile, the Three Fires of Team Magma have converged and are heading towards Groudon on Route 121. Groudon itself is still on the rampage, and strengthens the sunlight so intensely that Roxanne and Brawly, still fighting it, are alarmed by its increasing power. Groudon knocks Brawly's Machoke out cold with a Thunder attack by absorbing electricity from the air, and Brawly has his Hariyama use SmellingSalt on Machoke to wake it up. Roxanne calls out her Nosepass and Graveler and has Nosepass use Block to slow Groudon down, then hits it repeatedly with Graveler's Rock Blast. Suddenly, an Ice Ball attack hits Groudon as well, and Wallace appears to join the fight--with the Three Fires right behind him! The Magma admins warn that they've worked hard to awaken Groudon, and if Wallace, Roxanne, and Brawly want to stop Groudon, then they'll be dealt with.
