Psystrike (move)

(Japanese: サイコブレイク Psycho Break) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation V. It is the signature move of Mewtwo. It is considered to be a stronger version of Psycho Shock.

Effect

In battle

Psycho Break inflicts damage. Despite being classified as Special move, this move calculates damage using the user's Special Attack and the opponent's Defense stat.

#   Pokémon Type Level 0150 Mewtwo Psychic 100 Bold indicates a Pokémon which gets STAB from this move. Italic indicates a Pokémon whose evolution or alternate form gets STAB from this move.

Trivia

• Psycho Break is the only signature move that was introduced in a further generation than the generation the Pokémon itself was introduced; Mewtwo was introduced in Generation I, but did not receive a signature move until Generation V, when Psycho Break was introduced.
