The Pokémon series began in Greece at 1999 with the airing of the anime, followed by the release of Pokémon Red and Blue Versions. All Pokémon games released in Europe have been released since then, while the Anime still runs twice a week, currently being in the Diamond & Pearl series. Other Pokémon merchandise were available over times, including the first 15 chapters of Pokemon Adventures, split in 5 books, an official Pokémon Magazine, and various toys.
