Trivia
- Lick is the only Ghost move in Generation I that is affected by type match-ups.
- Some Pokémon will occasionally use their tongue to attack. One example is a Politoed attacking with its tongue in I Politoed Ya So!, and another example is Sableye licking May's Torchic in Ready, Willing, and Sableye. But it's still not classified as the move Lick.
- Lick has a base Power of only 20. But in the anime, it always seems to knock out the defending Pokémon.
