Blue's Machamp (Japanese: オーキドのカイリキー Green's Kairiky) is a Machamp owned by Blue in the Pokémon Adventures manga.
History
As a Machoke, it was a member of the team Blue constructed on his journey across Kanto to complete the Pokédex. It is first seen out of its ball when was accidentally traded to Red due to a mix-up that left Blue with Red's main team members and vice-versa. Just like Charmeleon and the rest of the Pokémon Red inadvertently received, it was disobedient and more than ready to attack its new trainer, but still used to the harsh training regime Blue gave his Pokémon, it would regularly go on runs with its teammates and train along with them. In Red's care, however, it would grow to adopt the boy's suave and lax tendencies when it comes to training, a factor that would later surprise Blue when the Pokémon was return with its teammates.
A few days later, during which the only new Pokémon Red had captured were a Krabby and Diglett due to its disobedience (though he notes that they wouldn't bite anymore), it was pitted in a battle against a wild Ninetales when Pika injured it using Toxic and forced it to run towards Red's new party, and Red sent out Machoke to defend himself. Though it initially failed to hold its own against the fox's intense flames, the tables turned when (due to being traded) it suddenly evolved into a Machamp and subdued the enemy using its four strong arms. The two boys then each threw a Pokéball, one of which captured Ninetales. Though Blue didn't object when Red claimed his ball had caught it, Blue argued that it was his Machamp that weakened it, so he should keep it, which he did.
Machamp wouldn't appear for quite some time until the Indigo League tournament, where it was pitted in a battle against Red's Snorlax, and with its powerful arms held Lax's arms and legs in place, then adeptly lifted the heavy Pokémon and subjected it to a combination of Submission and Slam attacks, drearily weakening it before sending it flying sky-high. However, the maneuverable Snorlax then exploited this opportunity by using an aerial Double-Edge attack combined with a Toxic that almost fainted Machamp, forcing Blue to recall the Pokémon.
It is then seen in flashback in Volume 4 where it battles a wild Magneton and uses Focus Energy to increase its critical-hit ratio before defeating it with a strong finger thrust, though it injures a leg in the struggle before.
Much later, it makes another appearance fighting Red's Lax (this time with Scizor's help) in Volume 23 where it this time wins easily with a strong Seismic Toss followed by the weight-targeting Low Kick maneuver. After the fight ends in a tie with both Red and Blue reaching their destination at the same time (and thereby unlocking Frenzy Plant and Blast Burn, it fights Orm's pack of Shuckle using its Hyper Beam but is unable to do much more than provide as a distraction, winning the fight for its owner when Rhydon's Horn Drill finishes him off.
