Guillotine (Japanese: ハサミギロチン Scissors Guillotine) is a very inaccurate Template:Type2 one-hit KO move introduced in Generation I.
In the anime
- GliscorGuillotine.jpg
Paul's Gliscor using Guillotine.
Pokémon
Gliscor: Gliscor's claw glows white and it strikes the opponent with it.
- Used by Paul's Gliscor from Chim - Charred! to ???.
Effect
Generation I
Guillotine does damage equal to the opponent's current HP. Guillotine will break a Substitute on contact, and can be countered for infinite damage on the turn it breaks a Substitute.
Guillotine will not affect an opponent whose current Speed is greater than the user's current Speed.
Generation II and on
Instead of being unable to affect a Pokémon with higher Speed, it will be unable to affect a Pokémon of a higher level.
