Forest's Curse (Japanese: もりののろい Forest's Curse) is a non-damaging Grass-type move introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature move of Phantump and Trevenant.

Effect

Forest's Curse adds Grass type modifiers to the target, in addition to its original elemental type(s); if the target already has a secondary type, Grass is added as a third type.

Forest's Curse will fail if the target already posesses a Grass typing.

Description

Games Description
The user puts a forest curse on the target. Afflicted targets are now Grass type as well.

Trivia

  • If a dual-type Pokémon under the effect of Forest's Curse is attacked by a type that is super-effective on both its types as well as Grass, that Pokémon will receive 8x damage. For example, Scizor, which is a Bug/Steel-type, would take 8x damage from a Fire-type attack with the addition of the Grass type.
