Lucario (Japanese: ルカリオ Lucario) is a Steel/Fighting-type Pokémon.
Lucario's height is 1.2 meters (3'11"), and its weight is 54.0 kilograms (119 lbs).
Name origin
Lucario's name is a corrupted version of the word oracle spelt backwards.
This Pokémon is often referred to as Rukario. While this is correct as a basic Hepburn romanization, it is not used by any official sources.
Lucario appears to be based on the Egyptian god Anubis, who has the head of a jackal.
Additional information
In the Pokémon movie "Lucario and the Mystery of Mew", the jackal-like Pokémon is considered a legend from olden times to the town where it appears in front of Ash and Co.
Lucario will be a Legendary Pokémon in Pokémon Diamond and Pearl.
In addition to this, Lucario is believed by some fans to be the Pokémon of which the Sealed Chamber Braille riddle speaks of. If true, this means that Lucario bears a connection to Regirock, Regice and Registeel, possibly reflected in the games.
