Main article: Yūto's Armarouge

Armarouge is Yūto's second known Pokémon.

As a wild Charcadet, it roamed Paldea alongside its friend, a Shiny Charcadet. One day, they found Yūto's Rotom Phone, and Charcadet was captivated by the tournament depicted on-screen. Yūto challenged it to a battle in order to retrieve its phone and, after defeating it, invited Charcadet to his team, which it accepted, leaving its friend behind.

During Yūto's battle against Kofu, Charcadet sprung into battle and attacked the Gym Leader's Crabominable without any warning but was quickly subdued. Yūto reached out to Charcadet, acknowledging its strengths and vowing to hone them. After Charcadet defeated Breloom in a training match, Yūto took it to a room containing a set of Auspicious Armor that had been passed down in his family and told it about a legend involving Charcadet. Feeling compelled by the armor, Charcadet touched it and evolved into Armarouge.

Later, while waiting for Yūto's match in the battle tournament held in Mesagoza, a Shiny Ceruledge appeared and quickly lunged at Armarouge, who did not take long before recognizing it as its childhood friend. They continued to clash until Ceruledge was unable to keep battling and then properly said their goodbyes, bringing closure to both of them as they followed different paths.
