Route 129 is located in the southeast part of the ocean, near Route 128 to the north and Route 130 to the west. Many Trainers visit this route to train their Pokémon before challenging the Pokémon League.
Trainers with a PokéNav by their names will be registered in the Trainer's Eyes or Match Call function after the first battle, and may have a rematch with the player with higher-level Pokémon.

While Route 130 usually appears as an empty stretch of ocean, under very rare circumstances, Mirage Island may appear in the middle of the route. This island is home only to Wynaut, and a soft soil patch grows a single Liechi Berry. If held by a Pokémon during battle, this Berry increases a Pokémon's physical Attack in a pinch.
Route 131
Route 131
Route 131 runs between Route 130 to the east and Pacifidlog Town to the west. A large, inaccessible island lies to the north. It is the custom in Pacifidlog Town to swim a lap around this route before breakfast.

Visit the northeast house and speak to the residents inside. The young man recounts a story he heard as a child, that there are three Pokémon that represent the power of rock, ice, and steel hidden away across Hoenn. The young woman tells of a riddle passed down by her grandfather: "Six dots open three doors." It seems that Hoenn still has some secrets to discover!
In Search of a Mirage
The southeast house is home to an elderly man who spends his time watching the eastern seas in the hopes of spotting the mysterious Mirage Island. Speak to him each day, and he reports whether or not the island has appeared. When it does, the man will shout out in excitement.
Every day, the game generates a random number between 0 and 65535. If this number matches the personality value of any of the Pokémon in the party, Mirage Island will appear that day.
Time for a Trade
Visit the south-central house to find a young woman who would like to trade Pokémon. Living in the ocean, she is only able to catch certain kinds of Pokémon, and is hoping for something new. She is willing to part with her Corsola in exchange for a Bellossom. Corsola arrives holding a piece of Tropic Mail.
Play Nice, Play Rough
The southwest house belongs to the younger brother of the Pokémon Fan Club chairman. He is enjoying his vacation here with his Pokémon, and hands out one TM per week to each visitor. If the lead Pokémon's friendship is high, he gives out TM27 (Return); if its friendship is low, he gives out TM21 (Frustration) instead.
A Sky-High Mystery
The northwest house is home to a woman and her children. The woman mentions a rumor circulating through the town, of people witnessing a Pokémon flying high above the region. She wonders aloud if it is flying around all the time, and if it wouldn't need to rest somewhere.
