Walkthrough:Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky/Chapter 29
Now that Marine Resort is unlocked, only few things in the game are left.
This part is about the dungeons unlocked by achieving ranks above Master, which will require grinding high difficulty missions for a while. Escort missions, outlaw missions, and missions with type or species restrictions increased the difficulty rank by one, but this cannot stack.
| Difficulty | E | D | C | B | A | S | ★1 | ★2 | ★3 | ★4 | ★5 | ★6 | ★7 | ★8 | ★9 |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Points gained) | 10 | 15 | 20 | 30 | 60 | 90 | 150 | 250 | 400 | 600 | 800 | 1000 | 1200 | 1400 | 1600 |
All of these dungeons are new to Explorers of Sky and did not exist in original Time/Darkness, and thus will feature a few new things. If you didn't touch Zero Isle, this will also be an introduction to dungeon restrictions. Level-wise, they're a middleground between regular endgame dungeons and Zero Isle North. By the end you will be facing enemies in high 60s!
Speaking of levels, if you ever wondered how to get the special tutor-only moves such as Draco Meteor, the eligible species learn them at Lv. 72 if they have at least 300IQ points (aka just short of 3 and half a star). If you reach the IQ value after level 72, just go ask Electivire.
While Draco Meteor still has the Sp. Attack penalty, it does help the Dragon-types a bit, as it is a room-wide attack! Hydro Cannon is of course a projectile, and Blast Burn attacks all adjacent enemies. Frenzy Plant only targets enemy in front, unfortunately.
Oblivion Forest
Unlocked for reaching Master ★ rank at 17 thousand points. This dungeon is filled mostly with Grass- and Bug-types, but it does have few Water-types, so that Fire-types don't completely steamroll it.
You cannot bring any money into this dungeon and more than 8 items (i.e. the first page). Any excess will be trashed and lost, so store them beforehand! You also can bring only two Pokémon; anyone in slots 3 and 4 will be returned to Chimecho Assembly. If the leader gets knocked out, you cannot be rescued.
As this is a Sky-exclusive dungeon, Grudge and Random traps can now appear, and both are nasty. The former will summon enemies on floor to your position and then give them the Grudge status, which means knocking them out will deplete PP of the last move you used on this floor (only preventable by not using a single move on a given floor). The latter as the name suggests, picks a random trap and then applies it to entire team, rather than just who triggered.
Additionally, there's a 20% chance that a Monster House that spawns on floor 10 will not have any items, which effectively makes it invisible. Monster Houses in this dungeon have nothing but money and Gummis.
At the end of dungeon there is a single treasure box that will have a Joy Seed (+1 level), a Life Seed (+3HP), a Wonder Gummi (flat +15 IQ), a Reviver Seed, or the leader's first 1★ exclusive item. If they do not have such item, it will instead round up to the closest they have; although in unmodified game, this basically means a 3★ item. This includes the rare ones that are behind locked doors in dungeons, making this a good grinding spot if you are strong enough.

No enemy in this dungeon can be recruited, and they all have 330IQ, granting them some IQ skills.
- Beedrill: On list of notable moves there's Endeavor (as if it doesn't die, it will bring you to low HP), Agility, STAB Pin Missile and the signature Twineedle, Fury Attack, Pursuit, Focus Energy, and STAB Poison Jab. Swarm will make Twineedle and Pin Missile hit extra hard if it somehow survives at low health. Immune to sleep due to Nonsleeper.
- Parasect: It has access to Stun Spore and Poison Powder, but more importantly Spore, which is a sleep-inducing move with room range, which will make you a sitting duck for other enemies! It also has Aromatherapy to heal allies and technically X-Scissor; that move isn't too notable on its own, but it does pack a bit punch and it will be STAB. Do keep in mind Dry Skin will make it immune to Water moves and make it take more damage from Fire attacks, while Effect Spore makes melee-range attacks prone to getting status'd! Like Beedrill, immune to sleep.
- Poliwhirl: Has access to various Water STAB projectiles: Bubble, BubbleBeam and Hydro Pump. Mud Shot and Mud Bomb attack only in front but the former always slows you down and the latter can lower your accuracy. Hypnosis puts you to sleep, and one of its possible moves is Wake-Up Slap which deals extra damage to sleeping targets; while it is unlikely to have both at once, Parasect can put you to sleep instead. It also has Water Sport which weakens Fire-type moves, which is very beneficial to enemies. There's also Rain Dance to further help them. It might also have multihit DoubleSlap. One of its possible moves is Belly Drum, but it only has access to 3 physical moves: DoubleSlap, Body Slam and Wake-Up Slap, so it is unlikely to capitalize off that Attack boost. Water Absorb makes it heal from Water attacks, though Damp will mostly help you, by preventing some of traps from working. Self-Cure makes it recover from status faster, Gap Prober lets it use its projectiles without having to worry about hitting allies, and has few other skills just to annoy you: Sharpshooter (higher crit chance), Hit-And-Runner (can negate counterattacks), and Wary Fighter (steps back if attack misses)
- Pinsir: Has access to Seismic Toss (which deals flat, level-based damage), STAB X-Scissor, Focus Energy, Guillotine, and Swords Dance, among other things. Has Nonsleeper, once again, as well as Concentrator (+accuracy -evasion), Practice Swinger (+attack stats on a turn after a miss), Aggressor (+attack stats -defense stats) and Counter Basher (-defense but chance to counterattack).
- Ledian: Pretty annoying, with notable moves including Supersonic, Comet Punch, STAB Silver Wind, Agility, and STAB Bug Buzz. Same skills as Poliwhirl.
- Scizor: Has STAB Bullet Punch, Focus Energy, Pursuit, Agility, STAB Fury Cutter, Double Hit, Swords Dance, Iron Head, and Feint (due to it being a Lv. 1 move here). There's also Metal Claw and X-Scissor for STAB. Has Self-Curer, Concentrator, Practice Swinger and Sharpshooter. Has Swarm like Beedrill, but also Technician, which will boost Bullet Punch, Double Hit, Fury Cutter and Quick Attack!
- Heracross: Has Endure, Aerial Ace, Counter, STAB Reversal and Feint, as well as bunch of other STAB options in Brick Brea, Close Combat and Megahorn. Same skills as Pinsir.
- Ninjask: Has the annoying Bug Bite, as well as Fury Swipes, Mind Reader, Sand-Attack, Double Team, Fury Cutter, Screech, Agility, and X-Scissor. Same skills as Scizor.
- Crawdaunt: Has Bubble and BubbleBeam as STAB projectiles that can slow you down, as well as Crabhammer and Night Slash as high-crit STAB and Crunch. It also has access to Protect and Swords Dance. Its IQ group, B, is mostly supportive skills, so the only things of onte are Cheerleader (boosts adjacent allies' attacking stats), Bodyguard (takes hits for adjacent allies that are at critical health), Nonsleeper (immune to sleep), and Gap Prober (its projectiles will harmlessly pass through its allies).
- Torterra: Razor Leaf, Leaf Storm and Earthquake are its ranged STABs, as well as all three HP-draining Grass-type moves and Wood Hammer as another strong Grass STAB. It also has Curse and Leech Seed, as well as Bite to annoy you with cringing. It also has Cheerleader and Bodyguard, but also Wary Fighter, Defender and Counter Hitter (12% chance to counter an adjacent attack for 25% of its damage).
- Carnivine: Its only STAB moves are Vine Whip and Power Whip, although it can have Sweet Scent to make you an easier target, as well as Bite, and Faint Attack. Same skills as Parasect. Has Levitate Ability.
- Abomasnow: Has Powder Snow, Razor Leaf, Icy Wind, Ice Shard, and Blizzard. There's also Ice Punch and Wood Hammer for other STAB. Can have GrassWhistle or Swagger to annoy you. At higher levels it might even have OHKO Sheer Cold! You'll know it's around when it suddenly starts hailing. Has the same skills as Torterra.
- Tangrowth: Has access to the three powder moves, as well as Bind or Block to prevent you from moving. Its STAB moves are Absorb, Mega Drain, Vine Whip and Power Whip. There's also possibility for AncientPower. Has Self-Curer, Practice Swinger, as well as Hit-and-Runner IQ skills.

Treacherous Waters
Unlocked for reaching Master ★★ rank at 21 thousand points. This dungeon is filled mostly with Water-types, although there's also Dragonair, Glalie and Garchomp.
The same restrictions apply as before, although there's now 5 more floors. Monster House on floors 9 and 15 has the 1/5 chance to be empty.
The items in this dungeon are the same, with the exception of the Hidden Stairs, which swapped Gummis for held items and more TMs, although the Kecleon Shop now only shows up at the last few floors. The treasure at the end is mostly the same, but it's now the leader's second 1★ exclusive item.
The most notable thing is this dungeon is where Suicune was moved to from Final Maze; once you unlock Treacherous Waters, it can send a Challenge Letter.
Enemies end up at slightly higher levels than in Oblivion Forest, and on floors 17 through 19 have 331IQ, meaning they will no longer use their regular attack on top of the usual 330IQ skills.

- Gastrodon: Has access to Mud Sport, which will benefit all the Water-type enemies weak to Electric attacks. Its STAB moves include Mud-Slap, Mud Bomb, Water Pulse and Muddy Watter, but it might also have Rain Dance, to boost the power of all Water attacks. Has Storm Drain, attracting your own Water-type attacks to it and neutralizing them, somewhat hindering you in case your strongest team members rely on Water attacks. It has the same IQ skills as Torterra in Oblivion Forest.
- Kingler: Has access to Bubble and BubbleBeam projectiles, as well as Brine (more powerful when you're below half) and Crabhammer (crits often) for other STAB. It also has Mud Shot and Stomp to slow you down or cringe you, but also Protect, the OHKO Guillotine and Mud Sport to weaken Electric moves. Has the same IQ skills as Crawdaunt in Oblivion Forest.
- Tentacruel: Its Water STAB is all projectiles: BubbleBeam, Water Pulse and Hydro Pump (with Poison side being Poison Sting, Acid and Poison Jab). It also has access to Supersonic and the dangerous Screech, plus it might annoy you with Toxic Spikes. Has the same IQ skills as Pinsir and Heracross from Oblivion Forest.
- Slowbro: Has Water Pulse as ranged STAB, with other STAB being Confusion, Water Gun, Zen Headbutt and Psychic. Has Headbutt, Disable, Yawn and Growl to annoy you; at the later floors it's high level enough to possibly have Rain Dance. Same skills as Kingler. Own Tempo makes it immune to being confused if you thought trying that.
- Staryu: Has Hydro Pump and BubbleBeam as STAB projectiles, as well as Water Gun. Not much more in danger, although its Ability will cause more enemies to spawn if it's not knocked out. Same IQ skills as Tentacruel.
- Dragonair: Has Twister, Dragon Rush and at later floors Outrage as STAB moves, though it may annoy you more with its possible status moves: Dragon Dance, Thunder Wave or Agility! Has the same IQ skills as Scizor in Oblivion Forest.
- Corsola: Has access to STAB projectiles in Bubble and BubbleBeam, multihit Rock Blast, and omni-boosting Ancient Power (as well as Power Gem). It also has access to room-wide Earth Power and ranged multihit in Spike Cannon. A lot of moves that can hit you from far away, although Hustle makes some of them less accurate (but stronger if they do hit). Same IQ skills as Gastrodon.
- Octillery: A walking projectile dispenser, it has so many ranged moves at disposal: Gunk Shot, Psybeam, Aurora Beam, STAB BubbleBeam, its signature Octazooka, multihit Bullet Seed, Signal Beam, Ice Beam and even Hyper Beam. Chances are, if it's within a straight line of 10 tiles, it can hit you. It can also have Rock Blast, as well as STAB Water Gun, and even Focus Energy (do keep in mind Sniper makes its crits a bit more powerful!). Same IQ skills as Tentacruel.
- Wailmer: Has access to bunch of STAB moves: Hydro Pump and Water Pulse as projectiles, Dive with its double damage (although only usable on water tiles), Whirlpool with a chance to trap, Brine hitting harder when target is already at low health, Water Spout hitting harder when user is at high health, and regular Water Gun. It also might have multihit Rollout or another double damage two-turn move in Bounce (this one usable anywhere), as well as annoy you with Astonish cringing or room-wide Attack-lowering Growl. Has same IQ skills as Gastrodon.
- Pelipper: May have STAB projectiles Water Pulse and Hydro Pump, as well as the annoying Supersonic, Payback and Protect. Can buff with Tailwind. Its other STAB includes Water Gun and Wing Attack. Has same IQ skills as Dragonair.
- Suicune: The only recruit in this dungeon. D IQ group. Has Bite, BubbleBeam, Rain Dance, Aurora Beam, Ice Fang, Mirror Coat, Tailwind, and at higher levels Hydro Pump and Blizzard. Can learn Water Pulse, Dig, Shadow Ball and Cut via TM/HM. Its exclusive item is at 25th floor of Zero Isle South and it halves damage taken by Suicune from special moves.
- Golduck: Can have Water Pulse and Hydro Pump as ranged STAB, as well as Water Gun. It also has access to Screech, Fury Swipes and Disable. Same IQ skills as Tentacruel. It actually somewhat hinders the enemies, as its Cloud Nine will nullify any usage of Rain Dance (although it will also nullify your attempts). Damp only really helps you, stopping the exploding traps from going off.
- Swampert: Can have Mud-Slap to lower your accuracy, Mud-Shot and Mud Bomb to possibly lower your Travel Speed or accuracy, as well as Earthquake for room-wide STAB (though it will also hit its allies). Its other STAB includes Muddy Water and Water Gun. Beware of Endeavor and Bide due to their atypical damage output ; it also has Protect and Growl to annoy you. Same IQ skills as Poliwhirl in Oblivion Forest. Do remember that it has Torrent so its Water moves will hit harder at critical health!
- Lombre: Has BubbleBeam and Hydro Pump as STAB projectiles. Also has Fake Out, Fury Swipes and Astonish. Nature Power turns into Hydro Pump at the floor it appears at. It has Swift Swim and Rain Dish, making it attack twice and recover health during rain if it is active, making it a bit of a threat. Has the same IQ skills as Tangrowth in Oblivion Forest.
- Glalie: Has Powder Snow and Blizzard as room-wide STAB as well as Icy Wind and Ice Beam as projectiles and Ice Fang as regular range. It might summon Hail (which will heal it with its Ice Body) or even use Sheer Cold! It also has other annoying moves like Headbutt, Bite, Protect or Double Team. Same IQ skills as Parasect and Carnivine in Oblivion Forest.
- Walrein: Similarly has Powder Snow and Blizzard as room-wide STAB, as well as multihit Ice Ball and projectile Aurora Beam. Other stab includes Water Gun and Ice Fang. Can summon Hail (and has Ice Body) as well, but thankfully just barely misses out on the Sheer Cold level. Can annoy you with Growl and Encore. Has same IQ skills as Gastrodon.
- Empoleon: Has Bubble, BubbleBeam, and Hydro Pump as ranged STAB projectiles, as well as 2-tile Aqua Jet, Brine, and Whirlpool, as well as Metal Claw for Steel STAB. It has Growl and Swagger to annoy you, as well as Fury Attack and Swords Dance (and few other physical moves to take advantage of it). Has same IQ skills as Swampert.
- Garchomp: Has the double-damage Dig as possible STAB move, as well as Dragon Rush, Dragon Claw and Sand Tomb. It might carry Sandstorm, which is not only annoying and deals chip damage (to every other enemy in the dungeon as well), but it also activates its Sand Veil, making it harder to hit. Same IQ skills as Tentacruel.

Southeastern Islands
25 floors long dungeon unlocked for reaching Master ★★★ rank at 25 thousand points. Somewhat less type dominant, although there's still a decent amount of Psychic-types, as well as some Fighting and Electric-types, and few others.
Unlike previous two dungeons, however, only the team leader is allowed. The treasure box at the end can contain a ★★ exclusive item. Additionally, on floors 23 and 24, enemies will have 600IQ, matching that of Primal Dialga and some other bosses!
Similarly to Suicune, Raikou was moved from Concealed Ruins to here as a Challenge Letter request.
As before, the only change in random item pool is with the Hidden Stairs, removing most of the held items, although Kecleon Shops are on all floors once again. There's also 20% chance for Monster Houses on floors 6, 10, 18, 19, and 20 to spawn without items.

- Mankey: Has Low Kick, Karate Chop, Cross Chop and Close Combat for STAB, as well as Seismic Toss, Focus Energy, Fury Swipes, Screech and Swagger. Same IQ group as Tentacruel in Treacherous Waters; gains Erratic Player (type matchups on user and target are more extreme), Clutch Performer (+2 evasion at critical health), and Intimidator (33% chance to cancel an incoming melee-range attack) at floors 23 and 24.
- Magnemite: Room-wide STAB in Discharge, as well as the Zap Cannon Projectile; other STAB includes ThunderShock, Spark, Magnet Bomb, Mirror Shot and Gyro Ball. Can have Metal Sound, Screech, Supersonic or Thunder Wave, and even Lock-On to make things hit more of ten. Same IQ group as Glalie in Treacherous Waters, gaining All-Terrain Hiker (move through everything but walls, although for Magnemite that's redundant) at floors 23 and 24... and nothing else, as every other skill it gets is completely useless for enemies.
- Hypno: Has Psybeam as STAB projectile, as well as Confusion, Psychic and Zen Headbutt. Also has access to Disable, Hypnosis, Nightmare, Headbutt, Swagger and Poison Gas for annoying status inflictions, or Nasty Plot to buff up its Special Attack. Same IQ group as Swampert and Empoleon in Treacherous Waters; gains All-Terrain Hiker at floors 23 and 24 (actually benefitting from this unlike Magnemite).
- Exeggcute: Might have STAB multihit Bullet Seed projectile! Its other STAB is Confusion, Psychic, and SolarBeam. Also has access to the powder moves and Hypnosis for status inflictions, as well as Barrage for a more avoidable multi-hit move. Same IQ group as Kingler and Slowbro in Treacherous Waters; however, this being a more support IQ group, it doesn't gain any IQ skills on floors 23/24 that benefit enemies.
- Xatu: It has only two possible STAB moves: Psychic and Peck, although it does have access to Night Shade and Ominous Wind, which might end up being more dangerous! It might have Tailwind to boost enemies or Confuse Ray to annoy you with confusion (remember that thrown items always go where you aimed). Remember that Synchronize only targets adjacent tiles upon being triggered, so ranged status infliction is fine (although such moves are uncommon). Same IQ skills as Hypno.
- Ampharos: Can have Discharge as room-wide STAB, as well as ThunderShock and ThunderPunch. Other possible notable moves include Charge (temporarily buffs Electric moves), Cotton Spore (slows target down), Growl (lowers your Attack from distance), Signal Beam (projectile that can confuse) and Thunder Wave (paralysis). Same IQ skills as Xatu.
- Umbreon: Umbreon normally serves a supporting role and it shows in its moveset; it has Faint Attack and Assurance for STAB, but its only other directly damaging moves are Tackle, Quick Attack and Last Resort. It does have access to Pursuit, however. On status move side it can have Sand Attack, Helping Hand, Confuse Ray, Mean Look or the dreaded Screech. Same IQ skills as Ampharos. Do keep Synchronize in mind.
- Murkrow: Has the priority Sucker Punch as well as never-missing Faint Attack for its STAB, on top of Peck, Wing Attack and Assurance. Has also access to Astonish, Haze, Night Shade and Mean Look. Insomnia makes it immune to sleep. Same IQ skills as Dragonair in Treacherous Waters, gaining Clutch Performer (+2 evasion at 25% or less HP), Critical Dodger (immune to crits), and Quick Dodger (0.9x accuracy multiplier on enemy's moves) at floors 23 and 24.
- Girafarig: Has access to Psybeam as ranged STAB as well as Double Hit as two-hitting STAB. Other possible STAB includes Zen Headbutt, Psychic, the annoying Stomp and Confusion, as well as Tackle. It also has access to Astonish and the very dangeorus Agility.Same IQ skills as Umbreon.
- Hitmontop: Triple Kick for possible multi-hit STAB as well as Close Combat and Rolling Kick. There's also Counter, Pursuit, and Revenge, though those can be circumvented with ranged moves. Can also have Focus Energy, Agility(!), Detect, as well as Feint to ignore your protection moves. Has Intimidate to make physical attacks weaker when you're close (so just use special attacks or ranged ones). Out of its possible moves, only Rapid Spin and Quick Attack are boosted by Rapid Spin. Same IQ skills as Mankey.
- Elekid: Has Discharge, Thunderbolt and Shock Wave as possible STAB moves, giving it range, as well as Thunder, ThunderPunch and ThunderShock. It might also have Screech. Same IQ skills as Hitmontop.
- Gardevoir: Mostly full of status moves, its only attacking omves are Dream Eater, Psychic, Confusion and Magical Leaf. It does have access to various moves to annoy: Growl to lower your Attack, Hypnosis to put you to sleep, Imprison to immobilize you, Double Team to make it harder to hit, or Healing Wish to heal its allies. Same IQ skills as Girafarig.
- Hariyama: Its signature move is the multi-hit STAB Arm Thrust, so keep that in mind. Its other STAB moves include Force Palm, Wake-Up Slap, CLose Combat and Reversal. It has access to Focus Energy, Sand-Attack, Belly Drum (which cuts Belly and not HP in Mystery Dungeon), as well as Endure (to synergize with Reversal). Has same IQ skills as Wailmer in Treacherous Waters, gains Intimidator (1/3 chance to negate a close-range attack) at the last few floors.
- Aron: Its STAB moves are Iron Tail, Iron Head (which can cause cringing) and Metal Claw. It also has another cringing move in Headbutt, as well as accuracy-lowering Mud-Slap. It has access to Protect, Metal Burst and Metal Sound, although Mud-Slap is its only special move, so it's more about making others hit you harder. Its Rock Head also means it can use Take Down and Double-Edge for free, if it does spawn with either of those moves.
- Electrike: Has access to room-wide Discharge STAB, as well as Spark, Thunder and Thunder Fang. It also has Thunder Wave to paralyze you or Bite as another cringing move. Do keep in mind it has LightningRod, redirecting your Electric attacks if you rely on these. Same IQ skills as Gardevoir.
- Plusle: Its only two STAB moves are Thunder and Spark, but has a bunch of support moves to annoy you: Agility (once again), Fake Tears, Copycat (to copy a move), Encore, Helping Hand, Thunder Wave, and Growl. It can also in theory buff itself with Nasty Plot, affecting Thunder, Trump Card and Swift. Same IQ skills as Exeggcute.
- Minun: Same as PLusle, but the duplicate Fake Tears is now Charm (giving it an extra move), while Last Resort is replaced with Trump Card. Do keep in mind that the 1.5x Sp. Attack bonus from their Abilities is a bit more dangerous here, due to difference in stats.
- Grumpig: Has Psybeam and the dangerous Psywave as ranged STAB, as well as Zen Headbutt and Psychic at close range; there's also Bounce with its double damage property. It can annoy you with Confuse Ray, give itself Counter status with Payback or reflect status moves with Magic Coat (but only if you're near it). Same IQ skills as Electrike.
- Absol: Has two-tile Sucker Punch STAB, as well as Night Slash and Bite, plus Pursuit for Counter status. It has Detect and Double Team to annoy, as well as Feint to counter your protection. At the last few floors it might also come with Perish Song (which while inaccurate, is hard to get rid of in this game). Do keep in mind Pressure will make your PP drain faster, and Super Luck will make crits happen more often.
- Gallade: Its STAB is Close Combat, Psycho Cut and Confusion, although it has more actual attacking moves unlike Gardevoir, like the double-hitting Fury Cutter. It can have Double Team or Protect to annoy you, Helping Hand to buff allies, as well as Feint to lift your own protection. Obviously, same IQ skills as Gardevoir.
- Raikou: The sole recruit of this dungeon; same IQ group as Suicune (D). Has access to Discharge at the levels it's found at and will get Rain Dance in few more levels. Can be taught Thunderbolt, Dig, Shadow Ball, Shock Wave and Cut via the Machines. Its exclusive item is found in Zero Isle South's 25th floor like with Suicune, but it's much more niche, only causing it to ignore Reflect and Light Screen.

Inferno Cave
30 floors long dungeon unlock for reaching Guildmaster rank at whooping 100 thousand points. This grind will take quite a while, so buckle up!
This dungeon is, as the name would suggest, full of Fire-types (and lava tiles on specific floors that they can use), but more dangerously, Ghost-types! Remember that even if you can't lure them out of walls, moves that hit multiple tiles at once like Blizzard or Thunderbolt still hit through walls. Notably, unlike the previous three dungeons, this one starts with some not fully evolved species before throwing their evolved forms at later floors, although this matters only for some of them.
The end of the dungeon houses a treasure chest that always has IQ Booster, which otherwise is only a rare prize from the highest tier of the lottery. When held, it raises the user's IQ permanently by one point when entering specific floors. In early dungeons it will only raise it every 5 floors or so, but in late post-game dungeons it's effectively 1 point for every floor.
The final member of the legendary beasts can be found here via a Challenge Letter.
Items found here are the same as in Southeastern Islands, minus Gold Ribbon being gone from Hidden Stairs pool. Monsters Houses on floors 5, 13, 25 and 26 have 20% chance to be empty.

| Torkoal | B19-B29 | 69 | Unrecruitable | |
| Gengar | B21-B29 | 69 | Unrecruitable | |
- Gulpin/Swalot: Gunk Shot and Sludge Bomb as projectile STAB, Sludge is the only remaining STAB move. Has a bunch of annoying status moves like Yawn, Encore, Poison Gas or Toxic. Same IQ skills as Lombre in Treacherous Waters; on floor 23 it gains Erratic Player (user and target's type matchup is more extreme), Critical Dodger (cannot be crit), and Quick Dodger (moves aimed at it have 0.9x accuracy).
- Gastly/Haunter/Gengar: Gastly's only STAB is Lick and the ranged Shadow Ball, but Haunter and Gengar also can have the always accurate Shadow Punch. They can also have Night Shade (level-based AoE damage), Dark Pulse (AoE daamage) or Sucker Punch (2-tile). They also have access to many annoying status moves: Hypnosis (which they can abuse with Dream Eater), Spite, Mean Look, Curse (though in this game this thankfully only ticks the damage once), Confuse Ray, Payback, Destiny Bond (makes target share damage with user) and Nightmare (puts target to sleep then deals damage as they wake up). Same IQ skills as Gulpin, though only Gengar shows up late enough to get the extra skills. Don't forget that Levitate negates Ground attacks compeltely!
- Numel/Camerupt: Has very dangerous STAB on Ground side: Magnitude (fixed damage multiplied by STAB and type matchup), Earthquake (room-wide, though also hits its allies) and Earth Power (room-wide), though it also has Flamethrower (projectile) and Lava Plume (AoE) on Fire side, as well as Ember. It can have Growl to annoy you or Focus Energy for crits. Camerupt gaints access to Eruption and Fissure, so be careful. Has the same IQ skills as Hariyama in Southeastern Islands.
- Cranidos/Rampardos: Has STAB AncientPower and Head Smash, but it also has access to Headbutt and Zen Headbutt to annoy you. On status move side has Focus Energy, Pursuit, Scary Face and Screech. Has the same IQ skills as Elekid in Southeastern Islands.
- Magmar/Magmortar: Has access to STAB projectile and AoE via Flamethrow and Lava PLume, as well as Fire Blast, Ember, Fire Punch and Fire Spin. It might also have Smog, which can poison you (with poison being worse than a burn), or Faint Attack for aure-hit move.. It also has the very annoying Confuse Ray and SmokeScreen, as well as ability to buff Fire-type moves with Sunny Day. Magmortar gets access to ThunderPunch and Hyper Beam. Has same IQ skills as Cranidos.
- Drifloon/Drifblim: Has access to STAB Ominous Wind(!), as well as Shadow Ball projectile, with Astonish and Gust as other STAB. On status move side there's Focus Energy, Minimize and Payback. Do keep in mind that this thing will almost always attack twice in a row to the way Unburden works in this game; it could easily snowball! Thankfully, Drifloon only floats and cannot phase through walls. Same IQ skills as the Gastly lein.
- Shuppet/Banette: Its only STAB is the Shadow Ball projectile and two-tile Shadow Sneak, although it also has Night Shade, Faint Attack and Sucker Punch. Other moves it has mostly revolve around hindering you: Curse, Spite, Will-O-Wisp, Screech, Knock Off, Embargo, Snatch, Grudge, and Trick. Insomnia makes it immune to sleep. Same IQ skills as Umbreon in Southeastern Islands.
- Vulpix: Flamethrower for ranged STAB, as well as Fire Blast, Ember and Fire Spin. Can status you with Confuse Ray, Imrpsino, Will-O-Wisp, and annoy you with Safeguard, Payback and Grudge. Same IQ skills as Gastly line.
- Rapidash: Has Flare Blitz, Fire Blast, Fire Spin, Flame Wheel and Ember for STAB, as well as the somewhat strong Megahorn and the double-damage Bounce, cringe-inducing Stomp and multihitting Fury Attack. It can also use Growl or Agility. Has same IQ skills as Murkrow in Southeastern Islands.
- Typhlosion: Like Magmar has projectile Flamethrower and AoE Lava Plume, as well as Flame Wheel, Ember and Eruption. Typhlosion also has access to Rollout and SmokeScreen. Same IQ skills as Magmar and Magmortar.
- Noctowl: Its possible STAB includes Tackle, Peck, Take Down, Air Slash and Sky Attack, with the last being the most dangerous, but also easiest to avoid (since it's a two-turn move). It also has a surprising amount of Psychic moves, such as hypnosis, Psycho Shift, Dream Eater, Confusion or Zen Headbutt. It has Insomnia, but this time it's redundant due to also having Nonsleeper IQ skill. Same IQ skills as Magnemite in Southeastern Islands.
- Misreavus: Like Gastly, it has little in way of STAB: Astonish and Shadow Ball projectile, although it also has access to the irregular Psywave, as well as Psybeam. A lot of its moves are isntead annoying status moves: Growl, Spite, Confuse Ray, Mean Look, Pain Split, Payback, Perish Song and Grudge. Same IQ skills as Drifloon and Drifblim.
- Aggron: There was an Aron in Southeastern Islands, this one works pretty much the same way.
- Entei: The final recruit. Gets Lava Plume and Flamethrower, as well a Dig, Shadow Ball, Overheat and Cut via TMs/HMs. Unfortunately doesn't get Sunny Day to match Raikou and Suicune getting Rain Dance. In the same IQ group as them. Its exclusive item works the same and is found in the same place as Raikou's.
- Torkoal: Has access to room-wide Heat Wave, AoE Lava pLume and projectile Flamethrower, meaning it has a bunch of options to hit you from distance, on top of having Ember, Fire Spin, as well as non-STAB Smog to annoy you. To further annoy you, it also has access to Protect and SmokeScreen. Same IQ skills as Aggron.
