The Valentine's Day 2024 event was held between February 12 and February 19, 2024. This event was primarily a cooking focused one which made all Snorlax's favourite dishes be deserts/drinks, introduced new recipes and increased the amount of power given by feeding Snorlax meals. The event featured boosted encounters, but did not introduce any new spawns to areas meaning the only boosted encounters were to Pokémon that spawn natively in that area. Event bonuses were triggered regardless of the chosen area for the event.

Event Bonuses

During this event, Snorlax's favourite dishes were desserts/drinks with the final strength from dishes after cooking being multiplied by 1.5×, or 3× if it was Extra Tasty (4.5× on the final day of the event). There were also increased encounter chances for certain Pokémon, as well as a boosted chance for these Pokémon to be Shiny. Outside of these boosted spawns, a few Pokémon of different sleep types could appear regardless of the players own sleep type.

Increased encounter chance

During this event, Pokémon that "gather ingredients perfect for Valentine's Day" had both a greater chance of being encountered as well as an increased chance of being Shiny.

Despite being available in the game since release, by purchasing the Valentines Day 2024 bundles players could get the previously unobtainable Pinsir Incense and Absol Incense.
