The Electric Type Week event was held between March 11 and March 18, 2024, and had the first appearance of Dedenne in the game. This event also served as a precursor to the Raikou Research event wherein which the legendary beast Raikou was debuted. Among the bonuses for the event included the Mini Candy Boost and increased Electric-type spawns regardless of sleep type. There was also a guaranteed Pokémon to appear hungry after the players first sleep research of the day, an effect which stacked with the Good Camp Ticket and the Friend Incense.

Event Bonuses
During this event, players had a guaranteed hungry Pokémon after their first sleep session of the day, there were boosted spawns for Electric-type Pokémon, and a few Pokémon of different sleep types could appear during sleep research. During this event the Mini Candy Boost was cheaper then previously, giving players twice the usual amount of experience from candies while consuming four times the amount of Dream Shards, for up to fifty candies a day.

This event corresponded with the introduction of Dedenne who had a new skill called Extra Tasty S that increases the chance of cooked meals being Extra Tasty. Dedenne's ★★★ sleep style could only be found at Lapis Lakeside.

Increased encounter chance
During this event, Electric-type Pokémon had a greater chance of being encountered. There were no boosted spawns at Taupe Hollow as there are no Electric-type Pokémon spawns in this area, however the remainder of the event bonuses were active.

Alongside the release of Dedenne and it's incense and candy, through the Electric Type Week bundles players could obtain Mareep Incense for the first time.
