Rhydon and Onia's Golduck

Rhydon debuted in The Pendant That Starts It All (Part One) when Zirc summoned it to battle Liko and her Sprigatito at Indigo Academy. Since Sprigatito wasn't strong enough to fight Rhydon, Liko instead had her blind Rhydon with Leafage and then use her relaxing scent to put it to sleep.

In Found You, Fuecoco!, Rhydon was sent out to battle alongside Onia's Golduck against the Rising Volt Tacklers. It easily broke free from Rockruff's Rock Tomb before retaliating with Rock Blast which also put the nearby wild Krabby in danger. When Mollie and Roy joined the fight, Rhydon caused great damage to Mollie's Chansey and Fuecoco with Rock Blast. However, when Roy helped motivate Fuecoco through song, its Ember managed to surprisingly knock out Rhydon despite its attempts to block.

In Charge! Galar Mine!, Rhydon was sent out to battle against Liko and Roy again at the Galar Mine. When Lucius's Moltres appeared, it attacked everyone in sight and both Rhydon and Golduck ended up getting knocked out by its Air Slash attack, prompting Zirc and Onia to recall their Pokémon and flee.

In Reunion at the Ancient Castle!, Rhydon joined Onia's Golduck and Amethio's Ceruledge in ambushing the Rising Volt Tacklers and Diana at the old castle in Hammerlocke. In the next episode, Rhydon faced Fuecoco in a rematch and despite getting hit with a super-effective Stomping Tantrum, it managed to remain standing and was about to retaliate when the battle was called off upon Coral and Sidian's arrival, and Rhydon was promptly recalled as Zirc retreated.

In The Truth Revealed!, Rhydon, along with Zirc's Skarmory, as well as Onia and Amethio's Pokémon, were all confiscated by Spinel's personal security when they infiltrated Exceed but were later retrieved by Hamber, and Rhydon happily reunited with its Trainer. It later enjoyed a meal at Amethio's residence and confidently agreed with Zirc in regards to assisting Amethio with its decision to reach Laqua.

In Guided by the Black Rayquaza!, Rhydon and Golduck attacked Coral's Glalie, Sidian's Garganacl, and Chalce's Medicham with Rock Slide and Muddy Water, respectively, allowing Liko, Roy, and Dot to pass and reach Gibeon.

In Nidothing Love!, Rhydon and Zirc became excited at the prospect of meeting Nidothing in Levincia, but ended up losing their ticket. Thankfully, they ultimately managed to find it at the hands of a Wugtrio. With the help of Meowscarada, Crocalor, and Onia's Golduck, Rhydon was able to retrieve the ticket safely. Later during the Nidothing event, Rhydon was picked to be part of a dancing session with Quaxwell that ended with Rhydon chasing Nidothing affectionately, mistaking her for an actual Nidorina. After the event, both Rhydon and Zirc discovered Nidothing's true identity as Dot.

In HZ124, Rhydon joined forces with Onia's Golduck and Amethio's Ceruledge to battle three Explorers's Golbat, Marowak, and Shelgon to cause a distraction, allowing the Rising Volt Tacklers to infiltrate the Explorers HQ.

Personality and characteristics

Rhydon and Zirc

Rhydon is adamantly loyal to its Trainer, following Zirc's commands without question or hesitation regardless of how immoral they might be. Aside from being loyal, it is also quite affectionate as it happily reunited with its Trainer after being confiscated by Spinel's security in The Truth Revealed!, with Zirc being very happy to see it safe and sound. It also shares Zirc's dedication and loyalty towards Amethio, agreeing to support its Trainer's genuine desire to help Amethio reach Laqua.

Much like its Trainer, Rhydon is a massive fan of Nidothing's and was just as upset and dismayed as Zirc was when they lost their ticket to a Nidothing event in Nidothing Love!, which included a meet-and-greet. After finding the ticket in the possession of a Wugtrio, Rhydon was determined, and somewhat desperate, to reclaim it and battled to its absolute fullest in an attempt to retrieve it, which ultimately proved successful. Accordingly, Rhydon showed a much softer and light-hearted side to itself during the aforementioned event, dancing happily with Nidothing's Quaxwell and later chased Nidothing around the stage affectionately after mistaking her for an actual Nidorina, much to the crowd's amusement.
