Delete discussion

With there now being no more transclusions to this template, I believe that this should be deleted as {{Spin-off series}} is already an available option and this only seems to exist as a second option on the {{Games}} template to the Spin-off series template. --Super goku (talk) 06:45, 27 September 2013 (UTC)

The entire concept of side series is currently under Editorial Board discussion. I don't think we should mess around with it until the staff make a decision, or we risk making a lot of useless edits that just have to be reversed. Better to leave everything as is for now. All right, this can wait until their is time for the ED to make a decision. --Super goku (talk) 07:10, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
To clarify, the discussion isn't going to take place until after X and Y's release. I need to push for it, and haven't properly yet. --SnorlaxMonster 10:09, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
I noticed that, but I thought it would be a bit rude to say anything about the discussion being around the end of the year in my last comment, so I just left it out. The only thing that really bugs me is the Games template as it links to the same template twice because of this template. In any event, thanks to both of you for helping to clear this up.  :) --Super goku (talk) 16:08, 27 September 2013 (UTC)
Bumping this discussion; I have neatened things up a bit on the spin-off template but the side-series problem is still present. Strongly suggest the removal of one of the duplicated options in the games template, it has been null for a year now. --Cadellin (talk) 11:16, 30 August 2014 (UTC)
If no one makes a response in a few days, I can "bug" SnorlaxMonster about it. I still believe that the Side Series redirect should be deleted. --Super goku (talk) 05:52, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
Nice username, and yeah I would support that. I already bugged Force Fire but he was too busy. --Cadellin (talk) 08:25, 4 September 2014 (UTC)
I would change it to Sgv_Sth if I could, but that is another place and time. I looked at your discussion to Force Fire and came away with a different opinion. He says that he does not believe that an agreement has been reached, though I am not sure if he meant this discussion or the Editorial Board discussion. Either way, I have ask SnorlaxMonster if the ED discussion was started. --Super goku (talk) 03:08, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
An agreement has not been reached yet. Like I said, this is most likely a low priority for us as we try to get other things done (uploading XY models for one).--ForceFire 03:52, 7 September 2014 (UTC)
If it's a question of priority for the admins, I would quite happily write the ammended wikimarkup myself so an admin can basically drag-and-drop to change it.--Cadellin (talk) 10:01, 7 September 2014 (UTC)

Pokéwalker

Why is it in spin-offs? I think if the Dream World counts as a side game, so does the Pokéwalker. So unless there are objections, I'll be moving it here. Golden Trainer (talk) 11:24, 8 July 2020 (UTC)

Since there were no objections, I'll move it in 4 days. If you have any arguments against it, post them before then. Golden Trainer (talk) 04:28, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
It's done. For future reference, I'll elaborate on my reasoning in case it wasn't clear. Just like the Dream World, the Pokéwalker was a subgame considered part of a mainline game, as it came with HGSS and couldn't be purchased or played on its own. It also allowed transfer of Pokémon to and from the mainline games, just like every other game listed in the Side Series template. Also like the Dream World, it allowed players to obtain certain Pokémon that were otherwise unobtainable in the game it connected to. Golden Trainer (talk) 02:10, 28 July 2020 (UTC)
