Dub names, dub name spellings and photos.

The template considers only three types of Missing Info - Japanese Name, English VA and Japanese VA. However, many articles also lack Character Pictures, sometimes a character's dub name is unknown (because it was not told in the English version and must be checked in Subtitles) or something the character's name spelling is unclear (and shall be checked in Subtitles). I think we should also consider a template for that type of missing information and put it on articles which miss them! --Maxim 17:52, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Categories

Could someone (I'm not good enough at coding) edit the template to add the option to remove the Stub categorisation? Not all pages this is used on are stubs. Dawn's Mamoswine is a good example. The default should be to include the page in the category, as that will make for less edits to adjust the relevant pages. User:Werdnae (talk) 09:22, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

Categories 2.0

Would it be possible to remove this template from the overarching category of 'Articles needing more information'? There are already subcategories within the main category referring to each particular type of information the page needs and some, outside of the information this template seeks, are no longer incomplete. It would make it much easier to traverse the main category then for those who can't provide this information (like myself). --Spriteit 13:52, 17 December 2011 (UTC)

Recommended changes

I recommend to change this template. In the bottom of the bold text in the template, can someone replace it with "Please discuss the voice actor information on its talk page before adding this information."? Section parameter

This needs an optional section parameter that replaces "article" with "section" and removes the line underneath like with Template:Incomplete. Landfish7 06:10, 28 April 2023 (UTC)

Update

Seems this template could do with an update, as the Japanese character used doesn't make sense for all use cases (if at all), and was always intended to be replaced with something better. Visually, I'm proposing the following, though I'm also reemphasizing the need for a section parameter.

This template is also used for Masters, so it makes more sense to have something media-agnostic. ^Maverick_Nate 11:02, 12 December 2023 (UTC)

Separate category

I think it'd be good if articles with this tag were categorized separately from articles needing more information. Maybe it could specifically be character articles needing more information instead. Landfish7 15:41, 11 August 2025 (UTC)

Does this template even need a general tag like that? There are specific subcategories for each type of missing information, so whether the broad category is "articles needing more information" or "character articles needing more information", it's always gonna feel a bit redundant.
