"Before Gen IX" or "Before Champions"?

At the article intro, should it be stated that the move was a Grass-type move before Generation IX or before Pokémon Champions? Which one is more accurate? I'm personally leaning towards the latter, but I want to make sure. -- FinnishPokéFan92 (talk) 00:13, 14 April 2026 (UTC)

"Before Champions" is more accurate. It doesn't make sense to say "before Generation IX" when, if you managed to get Snap Trap on a Pokémon in any of the core series Gen IX games, it would appear as a Grass-type move. Storm Aurora (talk) 01:10, 14 April 2026 (UTC)
