Another idea
Ever thought of the fact that Regirock might represent the dawn of the Earth, Regice the dawn of life (Life came from water and ice is water), Registeel the dawn of civilization, Regidrago the dawn of myths, and Regieleki the dawn of the modern age? Pikablu151 16:38, 30 August 2024 (UTC)
- Let Regieleki be the dawn of Wisdom, that would be better. Mike Joy (talk) 06:57, 10 August 2025 (UTC)
Inclusion of Regigigas
I don't quite see why Regigigas would not be included in this group. Aside from the obvious lore, the design, and the name, there's other evidence of Regigigas being grouped in with the rest of the giants.

- In Black 2 and White 2, Regigigas' battle theme is the same theme as Regirock, Regice, and Registeel.
- During the Ancients Recovered event for 2025 Pokémon GO Fest, Regigigas is explicitly grouped in the "legendary giants" along with the others.
- For the 30th Anniversary, all of the legendary giants had unique designs on their logos of their eye patterns. This includes Regigigas' eye pattern.

- In SwSh's DLC, Peony calls Regigigas "the boss of the legendary giants". So it definitely has a relationship with the others, but I don't think that makes it part of the "legendary giants" group. Like, it feels more akin to saying "Guzma is the boss of the Team Skull Grunts" than "Guzma is the boss of Team Skull". Storm Aurora (talk) 20:54, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
- I agree. This retrospectively confirms Regigigas is a member of the legendary giants, not just leader. Same case for Landorus of the forces of nature. I support the support to fully update and changed it. Jacob9594 (talk) 21:04, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
- That's not what Storm was saying. Landfish7 21:07, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
- I feel like Regigigas being acknowledged as the leader/creator of the legendary giants is something that can coexist with it being within the group of the legendary giants (e.g. Rayquaza being one of the three super-ancient Pokémon while also being the leader of them). It doesn't seem mutually exclusive.
- I completely forgot about mentioning Peony's dialogue but, while it's informal dialogue, the rest of the quote also seems like evidence of it being among the giants while also being acknowledged as the head of it.
- "Whoa! Is that the boss of the legendary giants?! It's gigantic enough-that's for sure! One gianty giant! With all these dots, though, I've got no idea which ones are actually eyes. Where's a bloke supposed to look when he's talkin' to this one?"
- This wouldn't be the first time that a legendary group would have one "special" member that's treated differently. Keldeo, while being acknowledged as a member of the Swords of Justice, is sometimes excluded from the original Cobalion/Terrakion/Virizion trio. Chaogotchi (talk) 21:30, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
- Older evidence from before the introduction of Regieleki and Regidrago, but this specifically called them out as a trio separate from their creator. https://pokemon.gamespress.com/Deoxys-Returns-and-Clashes-with-Rayquaza-in-the-Delta-Episode-of-Pokem Landfish7 21:41, 6 June 2026 (UTC)
- These examples help support the claim. Further the need to mention Regigigas as both leader/creator and member of group. Times have changed and we have more imformation. Jacob9594 (talk) 00:26, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
- Being the leader of the group doesn't mean it's inherently included within the group. Ho-Oh doesn't suddenly become a member of the Legendary Beasts as its "leader".
- We're currently in the evidence searching phase of this claim, so let's try to be open to the comments of others and what they find. MaverickNate 00:38, 7 June 2026 (UTC)
- Did some rifling around through old Pokémon.com articles for references to the Regis. I found two articles about UNITE that refer to Regirock, Regice, Registeel, and Regieleki as "Legendary giants", and this one that puts Regieleki and Regidrago in the group. No mention of Regigigas as a legendary giant. In fact, this article about a TCG deck archetype using all six of the Regis just uses generic descriptors for them like "these titanic Pokémon" rather than a group name.
