Random Encounter vs Hidden Encounter

SW/SH's internal file names for the two encounter types are "encounter_sw_symbol" and "encounter_sw_hidden"; since the Symbol encounter page matches the internal name, should this page be renamed to be "Hidden encounter" Hidden encounter? Kaphotics (talk) 18:51, 15 February 2021 (UTC)

I generally prefer to use publicly-used official names over internal names, but in this particular case I think it would make sense to use the internal name "Hidden Encounter" for a few reasons: 1) The official use is pretty tenuous (it's a live event that is probably not entirely scripted, and the Japanese name doesn't match the Japanese name used in the guidebook); 2) I think "Hidden Encounter" is a more descriptive name that would better convey the concept to readers. --SnorlaxMonster 11:23, 16 February 2021 (UTC)

I'm late to this discussion but I wanted to say I support the move. "Random encounter" sounds like the article should have a much broader scope (which the wild Pokémon page already covers), "hidden encounter" more accurately indicates that this is specifically referring to the random encounters in SwSh.
