Ultra Sun and Moon teams
Add the Ultra Sun and Moon teams. - unsigned comment from Electos3353 (talk • contribs)
- Can you tell me what the teams are, I'm happy to add them in if you give me the details.--BigDocFan (talk) 15:27, 11 January 2018 (UTC)
Anime page
Should there be a Hau anime page yet?
--Feelitstill23 (talk) 15:46, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- BigDocFan has one under the works already. Can't say for sure if it'll be mainspaced, though. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 15:47, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
Also can i add that Hau is Ash’s first rival to appear in one episode and not be seen again until the league? --Feelitstill23 (talk) 21:56, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
- That depends on what you would define as a non-League episode: one that aired dozens of episodes before the League started or one that aired right before the League started. GrammarFreak01 (talk) 23:12, 28 July 2019 (UTC)
Female first partner Pokémon
Of all the male rivals that got first partner Pokémon, Hau is the only one that got female one. More accurately Popplio, if the player chose Rowlet in Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon. Isn't this trivia-worthy? --Horn (talk) 23:04, 20 January 2025 (UTC)
- Hau's Popplio is male. Landfish7 00:06, 25 January 2025 (UTC)
- In Sun and Moon yes, it is. In Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, however, it's female as this article clearly states. But if you don't believe the article, here is a video proof: https://youtu.be/3Yxy9WgiSNg?t=1355 Clearly female Popplio, right?

USUM Title Defense Z-Move
I saw that Hau's first Partner Pokémon had it's signature Z-Crystal equipped and wanted to look into it as he is the only trainer i know of to use such a Z-Crystal in game. I did confirm that Hau's Decidueye did hold the Decidium Z with Frisk, however at no point did it actually use Sinister Arrow Raid against my Pokémon. This does contradict the statement of Hau using a Z-Move at the first opportunity. I think it may be because of the unique animation of the Z-Move and how the players model is displayed with it but that isn't something I can confirm. I feel this is something that should be further looked into. At the very least the part about Hau using the Z-Move at the first opportunity should be removed for this battle in particular. - Z-moves in general are not necessarily used at the first opportunity like mega and tera are. The way the decision-making process works, they evaluate which of their regular moves they want to use for the turn without taking the item into account, then if it turns out this move is eligible for the Z-crystal, they upgrade it 80% of the time if it's super effective, 75% if it's neutral, or 25% if it's not very effective. (If you're presenting a Pokemon that's immune to the move but they somehow don't have anything better, they'll never waste the upgrade on that.) SadisticMystic (talk) 09:37, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- I had a Lunala targeted by Spirit Shackle 20 times (2 battles) and not a single one of them was upgraded into Sinister Arrow Raid. The odds of that outcome are 0.2^20 which is around a 1/95 Trillion chance. Those odds are so extremely low that I believe there's some other factor involved preventing Hau from using the Z-Move in the first place. Mrnothing (talk) 11:00, 18 May 2026 (UTC)
- It turns out trainer AI is actually incapable of selecting any signature Z-move; the people who designed Hau's final rematch team never got the memo about this and left him with worthless items (no matter which starter it is) as a result. I happened to have a battle video saved from an online competition in which my opponent brought a Snorlax with Snorlium Z; by using the Mock Battle feature I could see it run out its entire supply of Giga Impact against a neutral-matchup Umbreon without ever getting a Pulverizing Pancake. If you have any battle videos with Ultra Necrozma, that's a case where they will happily click Ultra Burst in mocks and prove they have the Z-crystal as a result, but they'll never give the upgrade to Photon Geyser (if you can withstand the storm long enough to see it use all its moves).
