Legendary
Is this Pokémon legendary? I really can hardly tell, but it says it has gender in the article. Can you catch more than one in the game? Can it reproduce? --☯ *Ɣℯ№ӎօṫհ* ☯ 15:42, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- What makes you think that it is legendary? Stats? Pokédex location? Egg group? You can read from trivia that it isn't.--でんのう ☢ Zえんし 15:46, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- The fact that it's a pure Dragon-type that doesn't evolve, Gen V's crazy numeric system where Legendaries aren't necesarily all last or grouped together and the few Legendaries that do have gender, but maybe it's not Legendary since it's says it 1:1 male to female implying multiple of them? --☯ *Ɣℯ№ӎօṫհ* ☯ 17:21, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- As far as I know, it's not legendary.--Cold (talk) 21:32, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- It's not. They're readily available in the tower north of Sekka Town. --Psyライダー☮ 21:40, 8 October 2010 (UTC)
- I'd just like to note that the legend order isn't messed up, they are ALL at the end of the Pokédex with no interference. Also, previous legendary Pokémon have had a gender. --SnorlaxMonster 15:11, 9 October 2010 (UTC)

Trivia
So would it be redundant to say that it has the lowest Speed, Special Attack, etc. of all fully evolved dragon types? Because it already says it had the lowest base stat total, I'm wondering if they're kind of the same. --GrandPeonLv100 23:41, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
- No, that would not be redundant. The base stat total is the number you get when you add all of its base stats together, so it does not mean that one or the other is always true. I have added the two stats which are lowest of all fully-evolved Dragon-type Pokémon. --SnorlaxMonster 11:53, 9 February 2011 (UTC)
Coloring Origin
Is it possible that it's coloring is based on that of the Blue Malaysian coral snake(Maticora bivirgata)? The snake has a similar red head with blue body and lightly colored underside. Karnik555 15:02, 7 July 2011 (UTC)
- Based on the Wikipedia article's image, not really. --SnorlaxMonster 14:42, 6 August 2011 (UTC)
- I think the page is incorrect about Druddigon and the gargoyle/dragon thing. From the first time I saw it, this came to mind: [1] PowerPlantRaichu 20:14, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
Druddigon's head at least has always reminded me of the Broad-headed Skink, but I couldn't remember the name of it until now. ^^; Dragoness (talk) 22:32, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Name?
In the Anime his name is spelt Drudigon is pronounced Drudigin? - unsigned comment from Emeraldben (talk • contribs)
- Not to be a grammar nazi, but it is spelled as Druddigon, and yes, it's pronounced "Drudd-uh-gen" (as far as the anime goes, it might be pronounced differently when it appears in another episode, kind of like in the first ever episode, Ratatta was pronounced as "Rah-tah-tah".) By the way, please sign your comments, thank you. Zarthga 09:12, 11 August 2011 (UTC)
- ah yeah good point dragon druddigon Emeraldben 11:28, 12 August 2011 (UTC)
- I always figured it was based off the Welsh dragon, never watched the anime so I never heard how they pronounced it. In Welsh, the dd comes out more like a "wh" sound, hard to explain over the internet how it would precisely be said but what you essentially get it "dra-wh-gin"... for all you family guy watchers, think of how Stewie pronounces the "whip" in cool whip. The design also reminds me a lot of the welsh dragon, which is why I ended up naming mine Dilwyn. And no, I'm not from Wales, I'm just currently taking Celtic Studies at my school.user: blackamber
Possible origin?
There's a lot of Mother references in Earthbound. I noticed that the Crag Lizard looked similar in concept and design to Druddigon. Is there an article that lists all the Earthbound/Mother and Pokemon references like the Pulseman page? I don't know enough about hte specifics to really start a page. (Who went on to work with what.)
Anyways, here's a picture. I can't decide if it's a coincidence or not.

tied with haxorus
Druddy doesn't have the lowest special attack of all dragons when he is tied with haxorus.0danmaster0 (talk) 19:46, 6 June 2013 (UTC)
Type Weakness
Should it not be stated that it is weak to Fairy type moves, although we do not know much about the new type - Fairy, we do know that it is not very effective against Fire types and is super effective against Dragon types, given that Druddigon is a pure Dragon type, Fairy type moves must be super effective against Druddigon, surely?--ShinyPatch (talk) 19:15, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- If so, should the same not be stated in the article for Dratini, Dragonair, Bagon, Shelgon, Axew, Fraxure, and Haxorus?--ShinyPatch (talk) 19:18, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- If you are talking about the Type-effectiveness table, that is for Gen V only. — Reshi643 19:20, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Our current knowledge of the Gen 6 type chart is incomplete, so it won't be added to any Pokemon pages until either the type chart is released in next month's CoroCoro or until the games come out (I'm not sure which the admins intend to do). We can't add it now because we don't know whether any other type matchups will change, so simply adding the Fairy matchup to the Gen 5 charts would be misleading. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:21, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
- Oh, OK, that makes sense, I didn't think of that, thanks for clearing that up for me.--ShinyPatch (talk) 19:23, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
On origin section...
It seems that Druddigon's coloration based on the coloration male agama lizards took in breeding seasons. Specifically Druddigon is based on either red headed agama[2] or Agama lionotus [3]. Trainer Yusuf (talk) 09:38, 28 February 2015 (UTC)
Druddigon's dex entry " It warms its body by absorbing sunlight with its wings. When its body temperature falls, it can no longer move." is also probably based on the speculated thermoregulatory sail of Dimetrodon. [4]Trainer Yusuf (talk) 22:33, 10 April 2015 (UTC)
