| Drasna has a very airy personality outside of battle. She is kind when referring to her opponents, offering them praise before and after a battle. Her gentle demeanor, however, drops just before and during battle, turning sickly sweet to the point where her opponents and peers are left slightly frightened. Even when irritated and frustrated, she still manages to maintain a smile, though there is a considerably less amount of warmth behind it at those times. Following her loss to Ash, she returns to her warm and amicable personality, offering Ash sincere praise, as well as becoming highly flattered at Bonnie's attempt to have her marry Clemont.

| In battle, she utilizes her Pokémon's physical characteristics a great deal, such as Noivern's wings and Altaria's plumage to reduce damage. She combines such defensive strategies with powerful direct offense, enabling her to land multiple blows in quick succession to great effect.
