::::So, what's the difference between Gen V's flying Pokémon shadow from Sun and Moon's flying Pokémon shadow aside from it moving around and X and Y's ceiling shadow? Because from what I saw from the walkthroughs I've been watching is that Sun and Moon's shadow only moves around and does not follow/ambush the player. The only time the encounter turns into battle is when the player approaches the shadow or when the shadow randomly gets too close (not follow) to the (immobilize) player. :::::It's not a question of what the difference is (or even whether there is one). The question is what the official term is. If Game Freak decides to give the same mechanic two different official terms in different generations, that's their prerogative. Our job is just to document canon, not fix its mistakes.
