:Ok. I understand your point of view. The reason why I removed it is because this same situation happened in the Gen III games where Dive was present in Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald but not in FireRed and LeafGreen. All of the Pokémon who could learn Dive via HM in Gen III did not have Dive labeled with because HM08 was not available in FireRed and LeafGreen. That's why I removed the tag on Skrelp and Dragalge's pages. If HM07 needs to have the tag in Gen VI movelists, then I feel like all of the Pokémon who could learn Dive in Gen III need to have added next to HM08 in their movelists as well. --PKMNAdventurer (talk) 01:56, 6 January 2015 (UTC) | :Ok. ::Thanks for the explanation, and I can understand your reason for removing it. I actually am of the opinion that Dive should be labeled for R/S/E, myself, since it isn't possible to even acquire it in FR/LG. I never would have even thought about that had you not mentioned it because I wasn't editing here then and didn't think anything of it. As present, it suggests that it's possible for the entire generation, then it gives the false assumption that Pokémon can learn it in FR/LG. This is complicated at Dive where Gen. III is split in two columns, with no Emerald marker (the second half being FR/LG); notice I have not fully done Gen. VI versions yet because there is no split for it, and it's being held for now because Kogoro's working on a new format that you can find linked on her talk page where I asked about the page. | |||
::I'll leave it for now, but yeah...I don't want to give people the assumption that they can learn Dive in X/Y. Sure, they can be traded over, taught the move, and - provided there's no problem like that of Precipice Blades and company with the Kalos learners - returned (to then be fed a bunch of EV reducing berries that would affect a 0 EV stat to regain maximum friendship if that's desired), but no tag suggests that step is not necessary. So we should visit that option. Thanks again for the clarification. =) CycloneGU (talk) 02:22, 6 January 2015 (UTC) |
