PokéPark Kanto (Japanese: ポケパーク カントー PokéPark Kanto) (styled as PokéPark KANTO) is a permanent outdoor attraction within the Yomiuriland theme park located in Inagi, Tokyo, which officially opened on February 5, 2026.[1][2] First announced on December 12, 2023,[3] PokéPark Kanto is a joint venture between The Pokémon Company and Yomiuri Land Co., Ltd. who previously collaborated together to produce the temporary Pokémon Wonder attraction in Yomiuriland.

The full concept for PokéPark Kanto was first revealed to the public on the July 22, 2025 Pokémon Presents.[4] Tickets were on sale beginning November 21, 2025. at 09:00 UTC (01:00 PST, 18:00 JST).[5]

On January 16, 2026, Odakyu Electric Railway Company, Ltd. was announced as the official promotional partner for PokéPark Kanto.[6]

Experience

Key art

PokéPark Kanto is built upon a 26,000 square-meter stretch of land in the Yomiuriland theme park in Tama Hills, Tokyo, Japan.[1] The whole of PokéPark Kanto features more than 600 Pokémon from Kanto and other regions, and is split into two areas: Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town. Visitors enter through the PokéPark Entrance Plaza.[7]

PokéPark Entrance Plaza

The PokéPark Entrance Plaza features the Pokémon Research Lab and the Pokémon Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, and Eevee as well as the Pokémon Daisuki Shop, a gift shop where guests can purchase exclusive merch.[7]

Pokémon Forest

The Pokémon Forest (Japanese: ポケモンフォレスト Pokémon Forest) is over 1,600 feet (approx. 500 meters) in length, and features Pokémon doing various activities in the wild, such as running around, battling, and sharing Berries. The forest includes hilly paths, tall grass, tunnels, rocky trails and other terrains.[7]

Due to the structure of the Pokémon Forest, it has certain restrictions for entry. Children under the age of 5, pregnant people, people under the influence of alcohol, people who are feeling unwell or have certain conditions such as heart conditions, and people who cannot climb a 110-step staircase are barred from entry, even with other people assisting them. The Pokémon Forest may suspend operations in the case of inclement weather.[5]

Sedge Town

Sedge Town (Japanese: カヤツリタウン Kayatsuri Town) features a Pokémon Trainers' Market selling various goods, a Pokémon Center, a Poké Mart, a Gym, a Primarina Fountain, a Pokémon parade, and two rides: the Pika Pika Paradise and the Vee Vee Voyage.[7] Guests can dine at several food stalls such as Pikachu's Onigiri Shop, Eevee's Cafe, Snorlax's Popcorn, and Altaria's Roost Kitchen.[8] It also features a Pokémon Playhouse[9] and condominiums[10] for meet-and-greets. Statues of various Pokémon can be found in various areas of the town.

The Pokémon Center features Chansey and a staff member playing Nurse Joy that allows visitors to "heal" their Pokémon in the Healing Machine.[11] The Poké Mart sells various specialty drinks. The Pika Pika Paradise is a ride powered by 30 Electric-type Pokémon, and the Vee Vee Voyage is a carousel featuring Pokémon such as Eevee, Ponyta, and Rapidash.[12] The Sedge Gym is an Electric-type Gym where stage shows are held.[7]

Tickets

Tickets for residents in Japan are sold via a lottery system. Tickets for guests from outside Japan are sold via a yet to be announced method.[5]

There are two types of tickets for sale: "Ace Trainer's Pass" and "Trainer's Pass". Both passes allow unlimited entry to Sedge Town, but the Ace Trainer's Pass also allows for unlimited entry to the Pokémon Forest, special meet-and-greets, and reserved seats to the Sedge Gym Show, while the Trainer's Pass allows entry to the Pokémon Forest only once within the designated time slot (no re-entry is allowed). A "Town Pass" that only allows entry to Sedge Town will be available for sale beginning Summer 2026.[5]

Tickets are reserved for entry three months in advance. Ticket lottery registrations for entry during the February-March 2026 season will open from November 21 to December 8, 2025. Ticket lottery registrations for entry on April 2026 and later months will open from the 1st to 12th of each month, beginning January 1, 2026. Ticket pricing is divided into four categories: Adult (13 years and older), Child (3 years and older), Senior (65 years and older), and Person with Disabilities.[5]

Certain events, shops, and rides require separate limited-access tickets, which can be requested via the PokéPark KANTO app after entering Yomiuriland.[5]

A closed preview event for the park was held on January 26, 2026.[13]
