Return from the Crack of Time!
All About Arceus VI (Japanese: VS アルセウスVI VS Arceus VI), titled VS Arceus VI in the Chuang Yi translation, is the 457th chapter of the Pokémon Adventures manga, and the 16th chapter of the HeartGold & SoulSilver arc.
It is subtitled Return from the Crack of Time! (Japanese: 「はざま」からの帰還！ Return from the Crack!) in the VIZ Media translation and Return from the Crack in Time in the Chuang Yi translation.
Plot
At the Ilex Forest, Ken, Al, and Harry are on patrol—ordered by Giovanni to prevent anyone suspicious from entering. As the three stop to celebrate Giovanni's return, they are interrupted by the arrival of a mysterious, smiling figure.
Meanwhile, at the Sinjoh Ruins, Gold, Silver, and Crystal watch in shock as Pryce, Lance, and Giovanni enter. Seeing his friends' confusion, Silver confirms to them that Giovanni, the leader of Team Rocket, is his father. While Gold is surprised by this information, he is still astounded by Pryce's appearance. Despite the three villains' attempts to take over the world in the past, as well as their mutual dislike of each other, they explain that they are banding together to prevent the Pokémon of Myth from fighting.
Pryce scolds Archer for not understanding the ancient rivalry between the Legendary Pokémon. When Archer is angered, Pryce explains that he has seen this battle play out in a "crack of time." He commands his Swinub to distract the Pokémon from beginning to battle. Dialga uses Roar of Time, but it has no effect on Pryce due to him having once tried to control time. Taking on Palkia, Lance tells his Dragonite to use Hyper Beam. Even though Palkia uses Spacial Rend to send the move outside, Dragonite is able to redirect the Hyper Beam back inside and hit Palkia. Giovanni sends Ursaring to fight Giratina, and Archer begs him to refrain from stopping the Legendary Pokémon. Giovanni shoves his hat onto Archer's face to silence him and tells his Executives that he will deal with them later.
Gold, Silver, and Crystal watch in awe as it seems Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina will be defeated, but Pryce explains that it cannot happen. He tells the three that he and the others can only force the Pokémon to return to where they belong, which is necessary to prevent them from fighting. He tells Gold and Crystal to look at their Pokégears, and the two are shocked to see they are outside of the Johto region. Pryce explains that the Sinjoh Ruins are a very unstable place that exists in another dimension. It connects Johto and Sinnoh, and a battle between three Legendary Pokémon in such a place could result in the destruction of both regions. Pryce says that he witnessed this destruction from the crack of time, and was permitted by Celebi to prevent it from happening.
