Gecqua is a blue reptilian Pokémon resembling a gecko. It has a large head and eyes compared to its body; the eyes appear half-lidded, with protrusions resembling eyelashes on the outer corners of its upper eyelids. These eyelids are colored cyan, as are the tips of each finger on its three-toed limbs. Other parts of its body are of a different shade of pale blue, namely its belly, the stripes on its back and tail, and the water droplet marking on its forehead.
Gecqua has a short and bulbous tail, which it uses to launch springy balls of water. It has an intelligent, shrewd, and haughty personality.[1]
From Middle Koreanmorpheme 미 mi (water) or 미 (尾) mi (tail) and suffix ~초리 chori (tapering end, tip) or 눈초리 nunchori (outer corner of the eye; expressive look)
From 妙 miào (clever), 妙齡 / 妙龄 miàolíng (in the prime of youth), orthographic borrowing of Japanese 澪 mio (waterway) where the character contains the water radical 氵, and 兒 / 儿 ér (child)
From 妙 miuh (clever), 妙齡 miuhlìhng (in the prime of youth), orthographic borrowing of Japanese 澪 mio (waterway) where the character contains the water radical 氵, and 兒 yìh (child)
