Mewtwo (Japanese: ミュウツー Mewtwo) is a Psychic-type Basic Pokémon card. It was first released as part of the Evolutions expansion.

Evolutions print
This attack does 20 more damage for each Energy card attached to your opponent's Active Pokémon.
During your opponent's next turn, prevent all effects of attacks, including damage, done to this Pokémon. If 1 of your Pokémon used Barrier during your last turn, this attack can't be used.

Release information
This card was included in the Evolutions expansion, first released in the Expansion Pack 20th Anniversary subset in Japan. It was also one of the Prerelease cards for the expansion. Gold foil "Staff" stamped prints were given to those overseeing the events. An exclusive Cracked Ice Holofoil variant was included in the Mewtwo Mayhem Theme Deck.
In the Scarlet & Violet Series, this card was reprinted in Holofoil with its original Evolutions artwork for the Blastoise & Suicune ex deck of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Classic. This reprint lacks a regulation mark and is thus not legal for tournament play.

Psychic and Barrier are both moves in the Pokémon games that Mewtwo can learn. This card's Pokédex entry comes from Pokémon Red and Green, and Pokémon FireRed. This card is based on Base Set Mewtwo.
