Release information

In Japan, this card was first available in the Movie Commemoration VS Pack: Sky-Splitting Deoxys. It was reprinted as a PCG-P Promotional card with the collection number 020/PCG-P and with new artwork by the same artist. This print was distributed as an insert across several Shogakukan publications in August 2004: the Elementary School 1st Grade, 2nd Grade, 3rd Grade, 4th Grade, and 5th Grade magazines.

The Movie Commemoration VS Pack print was reprinted as a Holofoil PCG-P Promotional card with the collection number 025/PCG-P and was first given away in August 2004 as part of the celebrations for the reopening of Pokémon Center Tokyo in Nihombashi after the store was renovated. Sets of this print and a copy of Poké Dude were later given to Pokémon Daisuki Club members who registered in advance for participation in the Poké Dude Trainer Exercise event on the Pokémon Daisuki Club Stage, which was present at each Pokémon Festa 2004 venue. Members could register between June 25 and July 21, 2004. Eight spaces were available per session and two sessions were held per event. Pokémon Festa 2004 was held at 11 locations across Japan on 17 days between July 17 and August 15, 2004. The card sets were sent to members in October 2004.
