Flavor text Generation VI Boosts the Defense stat in Grassy Terrain. Generation VII Boosts the Pokémon's Defense stat in Grassy Terrain. Generation VIII Boosts the Pokémon's Defense stat on Grassy Terrain. Generation IX Boosts the Pokémon's Defense stat on Grassy Terrain.

Grass Pelt (Japanese: くさのけがわ Grass Pelt) is an Ability introduced in Generation VI. It is the signature Ability of Skiddo and Gogoat.

Effect

In battle

While Grassy Terrain is active, the Defense of the Pokémon with this Ability is increased by 50%. It does not affect self-inflicted confusion damage.

Outside of battle

Grass Pelt has no effect outside of battle.
