The Generation I Pokémon, also known as the Pokémon first discovered in Kanto, are the 151 Pokémon introduced in Generation I.
List of Generation I Pokémon
In the core series games
All the Generation I Pokémon were introduced in the Japanese Pokémon Red and Green, which were adapted internationally as Pokémon Red and Blue.
In Pokémon Gold and Silver, they all gained Shiny forms for the first time.
In Pokémon X and Y, 12 Mega Evolutions of Generation I Pokémon were introduced. In Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, 3 more were introduced as well as the Cosplay Pikachu.
In Pokémon Sun and Moon, the Alolan forms were introduced. All the known Alolan forms are regional forms of Generation I Pokémon.
In Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!, Partner Pikachu and Eevee were introduced. This pair of games is only compatible with the Generation I Pokémon, in addition to the Generation VII Meltan and Melmetal.
In Pokémon Sword and Shield and its expansions, 12 Gigantamax forms and 11 Galarian forms of Generation I Pokémon were introduced.
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, 4 Hisuian forms of Generation I Pokémon were introduced.
In Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, 3 forms of Paldean Tauros were introduced.
In the spin-off games
Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series
In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, Blue Rescue Team, Explorers of Time, Explorers of Darkness, Explorers of Sky, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Keep Going! Blazing Adventure Squad, Let's Go! Stormy Adventure Squad, Go For It! Light Adventure Squad, Gates to Infinity, Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon, Rescue Team DX, all Generation I Pokémon are available as playable characters.
Pokémon Snap
In Pokémon Snap, there are 63 Generation I Pokémon. Two of those Pokémon (Dugtrio and Koffing) as well as four others appear as Pokémon signs.
Pokémon Pinball series
In Pokémon Pinball, the only available Pokémon are the 151 Generation I Pokémon. They are found in either the Red Field or the Blue Field.
In Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire, the 47 Generation I Pokémon present in the Hoenn Pokédex are obtainable.
Pokémon Puzzle series
In Pokémon Puzzle League, all the playable and non-player characters use Generation I Pokémon.
In Pokémon Puzzle Challenge, Pikachu is the only Generation I Pokémon obtainable by the player while all others are Generation II Pokémon. However, several non-player characters have Generation I Pokémon. Pikachu also appears as the only Generation I Pokémon on the game box and the title screen.
Pokémon Trading Card Game series
In Pokémon Trading Card Game and Trading Card Game 2: The Invasion of Team GR!, all the 151 Generation I Pokémon are represented by at least one card for each species.
In the first game, there 187 Generation I Pokémon cards. In the second game, they all returned and more were added, to a total of 378 Generation I Pokémon cards.
Eevee × Tamagotchi
In Eevee × Tamagotchi, Eevee's possible Evolutions include the three Generation I Pokémon Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon. Another possible outcome is Eevee turning into a Ditto transformed into Eevee.
In animation
Pokémon the Series
In Pokémon the Series, all seasons feature some Generation I Pokémon, including Ash's Pikachu.
Pokémon the Series: The Beginning
Pokémon the Series: The Beginning is set in the Kanto region and eventually features all the Generation I Pokémon.
The Kanto Pokérap and the Japanese song Can You Name All the Pokémon? both mention almost all Generation I Pokémon except Mew.
The Japanese ending theme One Hundred Fifty-One is named after the number of Generation I Pokémon.
Pokémon Origins
In Pokémon Origins, all the Pokémon featured are Generation I Pokémon. Red eventually caught 150 Pokémon and then ventured to catch the last one, Mew.
In the manga
Pokémon Gold & Silver: The Golden Boys
In Pokémon Gold & Silver: The Golden Boys, there are several Generation I as well as Generation II Pokémon seen in the Johto region.
