In Search of an Aeos Energy Spot (Japanese: エオスエナジースポットを探せIn Search of an Aeos Energy Spot) is the fourth and final chapter of Pokémon UNITE Manga - Come On Over to Aeos Island!. It was released together with the third chapter, Welcome to the Stadium!, on October 13, 2022 internationally and in Japan on November 16, 2022. It is four pages long.
Plot
Professor Phorus and Erbie are climbing into the mountains of Aeos Island, alongside their Pokémon Metagross and Elekid. They are searching for an Aeos energy spot, with Phorus carrying a tablet that can detect Aeos energy to guide them. The readings are taking up to a peak. They take a break for a moment to have tea. During the conversation, Phorus reiterates that her style of research is to be on-site and see things first hand.
At one point, Phorus and Erbie enter an area thick with mist. Erbie sends out Rufflet, which uses Defog to clear the air. They discover ancient ruins, and the tablet reports such strong Aeos energy readings that Phorus declares it to be an Aeos energy spot. She slates the ruins as the site of the next stadium: Theia Sky Ruins. Early planning begins immediately.
Major events
Ruins on Aeos Island are discovered that are used to create Theia Sky Ruins.
Rufflet is the only Pokémon in the entire manga to no basis in Pokémon UNITE and not be a distinct reference to another video game. Erbie is not shown to have a Rufflet, and it's not an element on any screen, loading, Stadium, shop, or otherwise. Rufflet does not have a Boost Emblem.
Natu and its Evolution Xatu appear in Theia Sky Ruins, but an update removed Natu from that Battle Map. This leaves the chapter retroactively inaccurate to the game.
This chapter is the first to have no incidental human characters.
